Hoverfly TBS Disco ESC with HF Sport?

The short answer is you can't program them, the parameters and values are all preset in the SimonK firmware. Unless you want to dive into the source code and change the values there, what you buy is what you get, only the throttle range can be programmed/changed without changing code. Ken

    Auto Land??

You can already do it, in the Autopilot screen of the Assistant go to the Enhanced Failsafe methods and set it to landing instead of go home and landing, triggering failsafe or shutting of the TX will then cause it to land where it is at the moment. Only downside is then you can't use the RTH...

    Redesigned S800 and GoPro Zenmuse

If folding prop design was that unreliable then every RC Heli on the market would be in trouble, most of the hardcore 3D guys I know run the tailblades loose enough they just flop down when not spinning and the main blades not super tight either. Properly balanced there should be no difference...

Seasoned Pro looking for an awesome small rig ....ideas?

Personally I've never seen a 3 axis specifically for GoPro, you could either take a decent 2 axis and convert it or just get one of the smaller 3 axis and adapt it so the GoPro mounts easily. I believe the thinking behind it is that anyone using primarily a GoPro for aerial video either doesn't...

    Seeking Flight Controller upgrade advice.

I own or have flown the majority of flight controllers currently available. The best for overall stability I would say are Wookong-M, Mikrokopter, APM 2.5, and YS-X6 though not necessarily in that order. MK used to be the gold standard and is still the system of choice for a lot of pros, the...

    First TBS Discovery crash

If you have the ESCs reflashed with SimonK firmware its definitetly an ESC problem, seen it before after reflashing some low $ ESCs. It could be an older version of the SimonK firmware which was known to have timing problems or the ESC hardware has some out of tolerance components that are...

Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

I have both the original OPCC and the newer CC3D, the only real difference between the two is the gyro, otherwise its the same board and it runs the same firmware which can detect what version of the board is connected to it. Personally I find them more difficult to dial in than a Multiwii...

I'll stick to FPV, it hurts less when you crash and the view from the pilot cam is pretty much the same as being there... ;) Ken

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Anyone using APM 2.5 for aerial filming?

I have one sitting on the shelf waiting for me to find the time to install it on my Droidworx AD6, also waiting on an Alexmos controller to complete another brushless gimbal that will be used with it. If it works well on the AD6 I may move it to the Cinestar 6 to see how it compares overall to...

DJI Zenmuse has no value anymore.

That's the one thing the brushless are lacking at the moment is the third axis. I think once the demand can be met for the two axis there will be boards coming out with the third axis either as an add-on or integrated onto a single board. Since most of the current ones are Atmel based it...

DJI Zenmuse has no value anymore.

I guess it depends on how you define good. It is NOT the best for high wind unless you have a gimbal that can operate indepedently of the WKM and what the frame is doing, currently only the Zenmuse and brushless gimbals are capable of that with any high degree of accuracy. What it does do is...

    FPV relay idea?

Theoretically possible but not really practical. Much easier to just use a more appropriate frequency and/or antenna setup to get greater range. The more pieces in the chain the greater potential for a failure at some point causing loss of video or control, not to mention the latency of relaying...

    Nab 2013****

You do realize the $2500 is just the down payment to hold your spot in line, right? When they eventually build and ship them you'll have to fork over another $12,500... So far it looks like 4 people have jumped on the bandwagon, not exactly flying off the shelf at that price. Ken

HELP: Need Opinions on the possibility of different SimokK firmware?

Yup, had the same thing happen with the same brand ESCs from different batches, most likely due to low quality components with a wide range of tolerances batch to batch. If I recall there are some tweaks you can do in the code to change the parameters for the ones that lag to make them equal but...
