I use the GoPro for FPV and A/P. The quality is limited by you vTx/vRx set up and your goggles. If you can find someone that has one, connect your vTx to the TV out from the GoPro. That will give you a better idea.

I have to disagree with your assessment of Deans under high load. I have used them on a 700E single rotor with 12S with no issues. I will say that I used the "real" Deans not the Cheans that are around. I would never trust my expensive gear to them.

Go online and do a search for surveillance camera domes. You may be able to come up with some less expensive options.

You are correct with Hexa V. Remember to check the center of gravity because of the configuration of the spider hexa. That will significantly effect your flying characteristics if it is not calculated correctly. Looks great! Let us know how it flies.
