Have you rebound your Tx to the Rx and then try and recalbrate the Tx?

I am on v1.04 and the front led comes on. I have a H3 Black with the latest firmware. I normally run 2.7k 24fps. I don't use wifi since there have been issues.

My H3 powers up when I power up my H3-2D. Now if I want to record, I have to press the button, at least until they have Tx control.

I believe it wants you to recalibrate you Tx.

You cannot control the H3-2D with a separate controller unless you have a separate Naza V2. As far as I know you only need the V2 with PMU and not the GPS. This is the same as the WKM and the Z15. I have only used mine on a F550 and a Phantom.

It sounds like you were getting interference with your compass/gps from your vTx. What frequency are you using?

I am glad that DJI Europe was able to give you speedy support. There were some issues with some of the GCUs. There is a new version of the H3-2D firmware, v1.04 that addresses the problem.

I don't think so. It is easy to remove the plate and arms from the LG. You don't have to have the LG up to do that.

I do mount two 5000mAh 6S lipos on the battery tray. It does work for me, but as Chris stated there are alternatives. What I don't like about the alternate mounting point for the IMU is the necessity to plug and unplug it every time you disconnect the center plate from the landing gear.
