    Representation for Commercial sUAS

Mr. Egan has done a very good job with putting together the Civilian Drone series on You Tube but it seems most of the activities have been focused on civilian use of "drones" for use in search and rescue activities. There is much, moch more that needs to be addressed as well. I agree with...

http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/arming_the_motors/ Item #8 should get you through the idle RPM issue. Go here for mid throttle information. http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/ac_throttlemid/

*Price Drop* Landing Gear & Xoar Props

If you still have the gear could you take a couple more pics of the mounting and measure the height? I could be interested if they might fit the application.. Thanks.

Can you post the logs? Perhaps Robert might look at them to help isolate the problem.

    Representation for Commercial sUAS

Over the course of the past week the need for this type of organization has become of even greater importance. Several meetings and conversations with people involved in aerospace level UAV industry have clearly indicated they are going to be targeting the various layers of business that people...

    XAircraft SuperX

Ran into end point issues with a Futaba Tx and Castle 50 ESC. The issue was not present in the test series when a T-Motor ESC was used. Adjusting the ESC timing provided no correction with the Castle but adjusting Tx end points did. Futaba is still a great radio though.

    Unstable hexacopter with new ESCs

Not certain but I thought I heard a lot of motor "ringing" in that video. If that was the case there are timing issues.

Another Stupid Response from the FAA

I'm not willing to go that far out on the definition limb. However, I do feel there might be room for discussion with people that specialize in situations such as we are facing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Another Stupid Response from the FAA

This is where the terms reasonable and customary could come into play. Since the 97's proclaim that model activities are not regulated, but FAR's are in place that clearly define commercial aviation activities, the definitions under the law are the only ones that can be applicable. Yes, I...

Zero UAV Zero UAV HighOne Quadcopter

Be careful with replacing shoulder screws with fully threaded versions. If a long screw is used as a pass through that only secures at the end the shoulder version is superior in torqued or high vibration conditions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Another Stupid Response from the FAA

That may well have been a situation where heavy FAA presence and preferences leveraged the promoters into canceling Chuck's activity for political expediency to assure the rest of the show did not encounter road blocks. It's a game, one where right and wrong are not in consideration., but a...

Another Stupid Response from the FAA

A very grey area under the FAR's I believe. There has to be something that indicates costs and expenses have been paid or shared. Some type of monetary compensation or offset has to be involved to run up against the "commercial" label. If one can show they did something, without compensatory...

Another Stupid Response from the FAA

Ask some colorful local businesses if people can film their operations for free and put them up in a YouTube video. The businesses get free advertising and MR's start gaining positive exposure from their unpaid activities. Nobody runs into legal issues if no "consideration" changes hands but...

Another Stupid Response from the FAA

What would be great would be a group of U.S. "hobbyists" putting together a string of short clips using cinema, agriculture, sports events, perhaps some aerial survey with semi expansive dialog descriptive of the video segments. Then discuss the multitude of possible benefits to society and an...

    First A$$ View

Another tip. Never over fly you actual ability. The license only states you met the minimum requirements. Too many have gotten into deep trouble thinking they were ready for anything after getting certified. Don't ever find yourself caught "on top" hoping to find a hole to get down. It...

    2 Man Gimbal Setup

The Hobby King antennas are often crap. There's zero quality control or frequency accuracy with them. IB Crazy's products always work well. For me buying once for a little more is far more efficient and cheaper than buying two or three times and hoping for the best. Sent from my iPhone...

Heavy regulation will always favor organizations with large employee bases. They already have the specialized staff necessary to divide up the workload. One can be driven out of business simply because regulatory requirements generated more documentation than a company could afford to pay for...

Pixhawk px4 vs Dji Wookong for Aerial photography

Easiest way to answer that is to send you to the 3D Robotics website to look at their latest upcoming release, the X-8M. Might also check a couple of new videos 3DR has posted on YouTube about the same subject. Pixhawk can do almost anything asked of it but you have to know how to ask. Takes...
