I test flew my quad without any problems. It seemed more stable than (5.02). I also tested the Return to Home switch. I held my breath on that one. The craft performed as advertised. I wanted to restart the motors after it landed and shut it's motors off. The CSC combination didn't work...

Well.. I updated the firmware to 5.10. Last time I was excited about something my Hexa crashed and left me with enough parts for a quad. I chose control mode two for course lock and point of interest. I'll have to read the manual before activating it. Keeping fingers crossed.

I haven't played with the home lock setting. I like course lock mode for distance flying. Nice save. You got some great aerial video of the ocean and the beach.

Thanks Plingboot for explanation on the control modes. The English is not too bad in their manual. At least there is a translation for English. I don't see why DJI can't hire someone in the community to check the English. It's not bad, but you have decipher some of the meaning on things...

I want to rebuild my flat Hexa (which crashed after a prop snapped) into a Y6. Does anyone know a good company that makes frames (besides Droidworx). I wanted RCCarbon, but I don't think they still exist.

I agree. The easy of assembly is what DJI is known for. It would be nice if there were accessible advanced settings that could be adjusted, but like you said, they would take blame for incorrect settings by the consumer.

I hope that the 5 meters is the minimum distance the craft with orbit around the point of interest. I would like to know if you can adjust the radius of it's orbit.

I think DJI has an excellent product. All of my flights were flawless. The fatal crash that I had was a result of a prop breaking in flight. If my WKM was totalled I would buy the NAZA with GPS upgrade. I think some of the gripes stem from DJI marketing. The ease of assembly and flight...

Some days I would good GPS signal and others not, but normally all it took was for me to get the craft in the air monitor the signal status (which improved greatly) and then switch to GPS.

I'm excited about this update too. Especially the Return to Home feature and Orbit point of interest. Yes this will add much more value to this flight system. I'm still not sure what's going to happen with the enhance flight algorithm in wind. That will be interesting to see.
