DJI's frames seem to be a bit studier to me, but don't come with landing gear (legs). The arms almost look identical. The carbon fiber plates on the Xaircraft bend/flex a little. DJI uses metal plates. The bottom is also the power distribution board.

I'm also interested in building a F550. Do you think that the frame is strong enough to support Nex 5 camera, 2 axis gimbal, landing gear, 6000 mah battery, Avroto 2814/11s motors (mod to fit arms)? The F450 is pretty strong.

This is interesting. I kept my WKM on firmware 5.02. My flat hexacopter crashed when a new carbon fiber prop snapped mid flight. The WKM under 5.02 could not recover. I heard a loud snap and the hexacopter spiraled out of control. I use the setting that cuts motors off if the craft tilt...
