That’s everything. A lot of guys just leave the shaft long and use the adaptor, but that can lead to vibration. personally I’d cut the shaft, but be careful! I’d leave a 1mm gap from collett to base of shaft.

Tarot dosen’t make brushless controller as far as i know? Or are you talking about the board that comes with the 2-D gimbal. If so that is proprietary board for that gimbal specifically set up to work with the motors of the go pro gimbal.

Depends on what it is for. For a gopro rig, Quad. efficient easy to transport, lower cost... perfect rig for that application. For a NEX5 or GH3 smaller mirror less cam, A Hex. For a 5D or RED Octo....

I have always had to reconnect between each tab. i thought that was normal. Has anyone stayed connected while using different tabs?

I would say realistically, to support a DSLR and get usable footage you are looking at minimum (using gear that would not be considered commercial) of around $2750 and more realistically $3500- $4000.

You really will not be able to support a DSLR platform with a $1000. A decent DSLR gimbal is going to be around $500 - $1000. Then the motors and ESC’s able to lift a DSLR alone will be another $450 at the very minimum to a respectable $1600 for some good motors and ESC’s. Then a good frame is...

SuperX handles the wind very nicely. The video os “OK” i was still tuning the gimbal but this is a 1000mm Hex that is around 20 lbs and the wind was gusting to 30mph! at like 2:50 in the video look at the trees...

That means your transmitter is not bound to the RX.(At least that is what the yellow lights mean) I don’t have a phantom, but i would try to bind the TX. possibly something happened where yours is not bound. I found this:

I’ve flown my one hex at 26lbs (11.5kg-ish) and it was awesome. VERY smooth.. The weird part was, I did not have to chang ethe gains fro the unloaded hex. From what I have found is if you do not change the CG at all, the weight doesn’t matter to the FC, it responds very well.

I’m with you, so do you think shimming motors like 3 - 5 deg would be beneficial to most rigs?

I can tell you that the RTH will return the rig to about 2” of where it took off, and the GPS hold is insanely accurate. but i’ll let Steve tell you as well. :D
