    Wanted RETRACTS!! Anyone have any?

Dave, let me know what your looking to get. I need to clear 35min - 40cm (with some room to spare) to fit my gimbal.

    XAircraft SuperX

I personally think the big operations should have a forum guy. It’s not hard to ask each forum that is relevant (Such as MRF) to have a product support area for that product. Then the company rep can come in and just check that one simple forum each day. That doesn’t take that much time at all...

What type of connectors between KK2.1 FC and reciever?

In the Giant Scale airplane world, we refer to the ones show in the link above as MALE as they “insert” into the Female end of a servo cord. The female has the BIG opening (with the pins sticking out in it). I’ve never heard they referred to in the opposite way, and I’ve been in RC for 25 years...

What type of connectors between KK2.1 FC and reciever?

YES.. Male to male.. I’m an idiot and had the right image wrong name in my head. The pic above is correct.

I'm stuck. Can't set up Naza 2 with Turnigy 9x

Did you set the receiver type to PPM? There is a prompt that asks what kind of receiver you have in the DJI GUI.

    Vacuform bodies?

Although it seems like a good idea for smaller rigs, once you get into professional rigs, the ability to visually inspect everything at a glance is key. Covering things up just makes it harder to inspect. Also if a repair is needed, time is money, the less to have to mess with the better!

    New Year's Resolutions and Plans

You are not allowed to steal my resolution. As I too want to shoot video like Ben Rowland. I also want to stop pulling my hair out tuning brushless gimbals. I look forward to having 3 operational rigs that are fully tuned and just need a little TLC. Oh and world peace.. everyone go...

    Hoverfly Hoverfly Gimbal Controller

Man that’s a good question. The brushless stuff is really nice when it works, but it is so finiky. Try to find good footage of a brushless gimbal that is 20 - 40 seconds long with no post stabilization. There are a few gimbals that are working well, and they are the larger ones or the tiny...

    Hoverfly Hoverfly Gimbal Controller

It’s a servo gimbal control board only. it will not work with a brushless gimbal.

    Sony NEX-7 + GoPro Gimbal

I haven’t had a chance to try a 3 axis GP gimbal yet, but the $169 Tarot 2 axis (2D) is perfect. At least that has been my experience. Xaircraft has a new 2 axis GP gimbal coming out that looks nice as well. And I have not had a chance to try one but the Arris 3000 is supposed to be a nice 3...

    Sony NEX-7 + GoPro Gimbal

I can tell you after reviewing and then not posting the reviews because the units sucked....of around 5 NEX gimbals.... almost all ALL suck. All the RCtimer and ebay jobs are trash. If it has an “L” shape and no full camera cage DO NOT BUY IT. Guys will show video of 3 seconds of video.. but...

    Prop Pitch

100% the same. For giant scale planes, the lower the pitch and the larger the prop, the better for “torque” 3D flying. The higher the pitch and the smaller the prop = SPEED. Same applies to multi rotors, but so many factors play in, such as weight,,,

    Sony NEX-7 + GoPro Gimbal

Here is a thought as well. If you are zooming you will most likely be hovering or stationary. I think most gimbals can hold the cam steady even with the lens extending. If you were going to try and fly in a forward motion and zoom, I think the brushless gimbals will fail every time. Personally...

FOXTEChFPV RETRACTS. Any one using them?

It’s pretty upsetting that so many companies are coming out with 3 axis gimbals and yet the selection of quality retractable landing gear is almost Zero. Besides running “follow me” what do these companies expect you to do? I am thinking about contacting Robart and letting thm know the need for...

FOXTEChFPV RETRACTS. Any one using them?

The Droidworx ones come with a pretty cool quick release and ant vibe plate as well. It sounds like a lot, but they are very reliable.

    Wanted RETRACTS!! Anyone have any?

Hey guys, looking for a set of retracts for a larger rig. Needs to hold 18 - 25lbs. Droidworx, other? What ya got?

    This 2nd switch does huh?!

You need to turn that switch off. Obviously it’s either set to the same channel or has some program mix assigned to it to clone the other switch. First off, start with a clean slate, reset the model and start over if you can’t find the mix.

FOXTEChFPV RETRACTS. Any one using them?

Hey guys, I need retracts badly for a large octo. I can’t afford to shell out $1000 for the Droidworx ones although I wish I could. But has anyone tried the Foxtech retracts? http://www.foxtechfpv.com/fhlg25-optimus-retractable-landing-gearfor-25mm-arm-p-1177.html I’d like to at least hear...
