Want to attract talented people with advanced concepts?

Im having a hard time understanding how the forum has failed you, or would even have a CHANCE to fail you, when you clearly can not discuss or disclose your top secret plans. The only specifics you've mentioned since arriving here is barreling headlong through water and trees. For the record, I...

Selling Used Gear: include safety sheet?

Very true. The idea of opening the door to possible liability is enough to steer me clear of this idea. That's why I post here.... :). Good tips! Thanks folks.

    Parallel battery circuit protection

I'm interested to see what you come up with. Seems like it could be a nice 'peace of mind' add-on.

    "Yamaha Drone"

Wow. Didn't even consider that Yamaha had designed/built their own craft. Just figured they were the sponsor.

    Ominus problems

If the motor isn't acting the same as all the others - that will definitely cause issues. Good luck!

    "Yamaha Drone"

Caught some of the newly named AMA MotoAmerica Superbike motorcycle races today from Georgia. It's broadcast on the CBS Sports cable channel. There were some shots early that I was convinced were shot from a multirotor. A few minutes later, they did a long series of shots to display the track...

    Ominus problems

Did your dad just mess with the radio??? Your brother may be correct. If your dad mashed a bunch of buttons, he may have thrown off the trims. Does the ominous radio have beeps when you move the trims? If so, there should be a different tone that beeps when centered.

controlling speed of multirotor using simonk esc

If it's anything like a typical setup, You may need to program the esc for "throttle" response, which in your case would be the pot. With no power, turn the pot all the way up. Plug in the battery. You'll hear beeps, then turn the pot all the way down, you'll hear more beeps. Disconnect power...

Product Review ---> 3D Robotics Iris+ RTF Quad

Nice! Glad to see you got it in the air and enjoyed it. Cooter, seems $30/motor is not bad to have the ones they designed the iris for, especially if you only need to replace 1 instead of all 4.

You can find it at Amazon. My LHS definitely doesn't carry it.

    Hextronik DT 750 mounting options

I checked out the quad - and I was mistaken. He has them on a scratch-built frame so they are bolted to the wood frame. Sorry about that.

Selling Used Gear: include safety sheet?

Yep. Good point. I think we need some stickers for MRF to slap on the side of these things. Maybe with a tag line "educate yourself." :)

Selling Used Gear: include safety sheet?

Thanks TStrike. I hear what you're saying, and you may be right. But it was this very worry that led me to wonder if this might be a pro and not a con. I'm not so sure that all consumers have the information you suggest (of course some do). Just simply based on questions that pop up on this...

Selling Used Gear: include safety sheet?

hey folks. Quick question for you all.... Wondering if anyone has ever included a "safety sheet" when they sell their used equipment. I have always found the literature included in the packages from manufacturers somewhat lacking in regards to safety. Some might have a little blurb about "don't...

    Hextronik DT 750 mounting options

I've got a buddy who I think has these on his DJI rig. I'll see him later today and get back to you. One thing I know for sure, you definitely do NOT want to zip tie motors to the mounts :)
