Sleepy, it just needs to be at the bottom for compass cal, correct?

You should be able to have it down when you do the fast toggle - it should kick into calibration mode. Then follow the directions. I think they only mention it because you may have ended the controller calibration with the throttle somewhere other than down (safe).

KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

Gotcha. Something tells me that @econfly will be taking these apart to determine exactly what's what :)

KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

I thought the advantage was an extra bearing helping reduce the load/wear per bearing. I am admittedly NOT a bearing specialist :)

S500 Quad Crash - Need help with why

I don't have a möbius - so I can't give you details on that. But if they aren't pre-made, you could make one easily. There are some videos on YouTube, usually for the gopro, but same idea.

S500 Quad Crash - Need help with why

Check all the connections, and as you said, see if you can shake it loose. When you finally get back to the gimbal, see about buying or making an ND filter to help with and rule that out for the jello you're getting. And then see about the dampening. Good luck with the tests!

S500 Quad Crash - Need help with why

Was it separated when you got to the crash site? I agree with TStrike, more likely a cold solder point somewhere in the system. If that squid was bought from hobby king (or similar), good chance you may have a flaky solder point in there. Have you been able to test all motors and ESCs? Do...

KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

It's a sweet frame. Really need the folding arms. The damn thing has to be transported in the back of my pickup :) I have the KDE 4012 and have been very happy with them. I'm sure you've calculated it - but I know the X configuration with Z arms will effect the prop size allowed for the lower...

KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

That's a nice choice rob. I think the Vulcan has been one of my best choices in this hobby. But of course now I want foldable :). Wondering if I could mill out the plates to allow the standard style to fold. Looking forward to seeing your build.

    Permanently locking an m3 screw

I'm sure they exist - but I've always found them to be a PITA. I think JB Weld will hold - can't imagine anything on an MR will have more force than its capable of. Just make sure you mix it well.

Gremsy will be releasing their H6 soon.

KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

It sounds like the math proves the point, no? I can't imagine that KDE is doing the math wrong for their products, but even if they were - YOU are not. :)

    Permanently locking an m3 screw

If you're not afraid of permanent - JB Weld would probably be best. The red thread locker would want more thread to grip to. You may be able to tap it to 4mm of you ever need to remove the bolts. EDIT: aerial media beat me to it :)
