reverse the gain channel or move the trim in the other direction... you want + gain, try 10 to 30

yes they do what you experience. the superx one is actually kinda loose compared to the dji setup.... it's strength is it draws a nice straight line and eleiminates wind influence to drift side to side or be blown off course. it also makes a great stationary look on classic aerials looking down...

and there really cheap used...

my gimbal op had 2 of them, both had pixel problems on the sensor, he finaly sold it off.... i'm not sure that even at $500 there a good deal. the only good part is any lens you would get for that will attach to a decent camera.... love my gh4

the s800 is the dji gh4 rig..... 1000 is there 5d mark3 rig It does have a limit to what wind you can fly a smaller airframe in but that one in particular has mad thrust and powers through it all. It used to be mine but flying alot of epics, i moved up to the 1100 hexacrafter

I've seen several TBS discoveries fly nex which would be a more sized platform for the job, especialy with our arm kits and 14-15" props. They start with a OG disco and buy a gimbal sized for the camera, then mod it on. makes a custom build so moddeling skills required. gotta know how to drill...

did you try "restore default settings" after downgrading? i remember something about that
