UPDATED!: Gremsy gStabi H6 initial Thoughts & Handheld Test (Video)

:). Thanks! So probably something in the range of a 50xx size. I was just curious since it seems people are having issues with anything but 60xx on yaw with the Phobotic. But the encoders on the motors change the dynamic - so apples to oranges anyway.

UPDATED!: Gremsy gStabi H6 initial Thoughts & Handheld Test (Video)

Looking forward to this! I have read a lot about the tech support (mentions of Skype calls at all hours, despite the time difference). That is something that is VERY appealing, and stands in stark contrast to some of the other manufacturers out there. I think I recall reading about how the...

UPDATED!: Gremsy gStabi H6 initial Thoughts & Handheld Test (Video)

I think I mentioned it before - but so people know for reference, the hard case is not included with the H6. It's an additional $200. It's a nice touch though, and comes included with the H14. @SleepyC , what turned out to be the issue with the auto-tune numbers?

How's that Infinity product work? Do you like it? Pricey for a dampening plate.

    Flight controllers

One thing that I'd add is that I have found a clear line of differentiation between the open and closed source FCs. They all have their pros and cons; whether it be price, flight characteristics, or ease of use or features. What I've found in my experience is that the open source will take a...

Have you looked on the Facebook page to see if there are starting parameters? I know I saw some for the H14 a while back. Maybe people have posted some for the H6 since its started shipping? Good luck!

    R&D Hex for Survey/Imaging/Conservation

The Vulcan QR is a CF plate that has 4 clamps on it. The dampener plate of the gimbal is secured to the CF plate, and then the QR clamps to the rail system. The Vulcan is the 155mm standard, not the narrower system on some tarot frames.

Problem cant' connect BT module to Multiwii pro w GPS!

I believe that the lower right box showing 9600 means that no change has taken place to the board. So somehow you need to determine why the board is not fully connected to the arduino program. It may be connected to the computer (recognized by the COM port), but not correctly connected to the...

    How many motor mount bolts?

I don't think there's any question that 2 bolts can hold a motor (or even zip ties as @SleepyC mentioned). But if weight and access is not a consideration - seems that 4 bolts will resist rotational forces better than 2.

Problem cant' connect BT module to Multiwii pro w GPS!

That means it's not connected to the computer. And I'm assuming you've double checked the way the FTDI is connected? It's a little strange with the swapping of the 2 leads.

    Beep, Beep, Beeping ... ESCs!

I can't find the specific thread - but I recall people having luck with end points set in taranis to -90 & +100. Do the esc throttle calibration. Then return the end points to the -100 & +100 before doing the superx radio calibration. This should make the ESCs think that the end point is...

    Beep, Beep, Beeping ... ESCs!

Right. Different value is what you need on the lower value (represented by the negative number). It is merely to trick the esc into getting what it wants to see - to arm the motors. This has been pretty well documented with the taranis and superx combo, and certain ESCs (particularly "OPTO"...

Problem cant' connect BT module to Multiwii pro w GPS!

Sorry, by opening that window and hitting "send" you are compiling that info to the board. So if you've followed the instructions, I'm not sure what the issue would be. Does it not shoot back "OK" when you type AT?

Problem cant' connect BT module to Multiwii pro w GPS!

If I recall correctly, you need to change the baud rate in the sketch, and then flash it to the Bluetooth board. I'll see if I can watch the video if I get time later. But if nothing has been written back to the board, no changes have been made permanent.

    Just checking in

Sentimentality is what makes for great projects! I'll help if I can for sure. I think you can probably do all the welding you need with the TIG, no? I'd think using the MIG would make for ugly seams on bodywork. Or at least more work grinding it down to be flush.

    Beep, Beep, Beeping ... ESCs!

You absolutely can not fly it with the motors starting the way they are. They need to all start together, and be running at the same speed (if you're testing flat on the table). I'm sorry, but I can't understand what you're referring to with the numbers. What are your end points set at? There...
