    Plane avoids "drone".....AGAIN!

I get it. And I agree, it's a balance between regulating and not fearing so much that the innovation gets squashed. I'd say this same issue has arisen for the printing press, cars, guns etc etc. Of course the government could go too far. But then again, people could give them less of a reason to...

    Plane avoids "drone".....AGAIN!

I know it's not going to stop - but it seems to me that there needs to be a concerted effort to let idiots know they're being idiots. If they knew already, we wouldn't need to remind them. Someone who has decided to shirk responsibility, and knows what they're doing is wrong, but decide to go...

UPDATED!: Gremsy gStabi H6 initial Thoughts & Handheld Test (Video)

Nice! The way it handles wind is what many are looking at - so maybe this once, the Ohio wind plays to our advantage :) Of course 2 years ago it snowed here in Vermont on Memorial Day, so be happy with clear skies at least!!!!

    Plane avoids "drone".....AGAIN!

MSNBC just reported that a plane on approach to LaGuardia had to avoid a drone by climbing 200 feet. Come on people! Let's be smart. If you are flying anywhere NEAR LaGuardia, you're not only foolish and outside the law, but really are proving that you have no common sense. If you've ever...

2 seperate gain settings on single switch

You can choose all or just some of the gains to be controlled, so you should be good.

Ronin m. What do you guys think for aerial?

Queena, do you have a link to any video showing the Lite being used on a multirotor? If not, you should consider @Bartman offer for a review :)

Quadframe makes strong frames that can be ordered with various length booms to fit a build. The motor mounts aren't as trick as Bartman's though :) They have a European distribution too, depending on your location.

    Tarot 680PRO build log

Welcome aboard Bill. I use the Anderson power pole as well. Great product. The right crisper makes it smooth. I've build (and since sold) a 680Pro. Very cool features for the money. Be careful with the folding mechanism clamps. They can snap fairly easy. Also, you might want to substitute some...

Start a new thread, people will find your questions about specific design choices better. :) About 1" between props is safest. But I have seen closer to 1/2" too.

    R&D Hex for Survey/Imaging/Conservation

That sounds right. I'll check when I get to the shop. You need a fairly large size for allowing room for the grommet. Hex standoffs have been elusive for me - even in Brooklyn, and for sure if I want to remain metric. So I just ordered from McMaster. Order some extra/various sizes to make the...

2 seperate gain settings on single switch

That should work. In essence, the end point solution is just allowing you to manually set the gains. So if the dual rates work, no need to overconicate it. And of course test it in the Assistant to be sure :) Let us know how it works.

Kratos, this concept is not dependent on the frame/motors/props at all, so you'll be best served by designing the MR that best fits your needs, using a Naza as the FC, and then following @Bartman procedure here.

2 seperate gain settings on single switch

No, end points in the RX control the throw of the sticks (or knobs, sliders). actually it's effecting the PWM. So typically the switches are set to -100 & +100, You need to assign the gain tuning channel to a 2-position switch and see what gain it changes to in the naza assistant. If the gains...

UPDATED!: Gremsy gStabi H6 initial Thoughts & Handheld Test (Video)

Has gremsy responded with an idea of why the numbers come back different? Seems your method produced some good results, but they should have some answers for you. Looking forward to seeing it in the air.

2 seperate gain settings on single switch

Gotcha. It's just end points that change the values - so if you haven't messed with that, just search end point settings. You'lol obviously need to assign the gain values you want to switch in the assistant as well

2 seperate gain settings on single switch

Not sure what the props had to do with my switch thoughts, but I'm getting used to your train of thought I think :) If I understand the issue he had, that would be solved by the offset in the Taranis. Again, you'd have to check/set it while seeing the values in the assistant.
