    Logbook?

That's the plan. But for now, you'll be good with a standard log book from one of the full-scale suppliers :)

    Logbook?

Well, than I think we can assume that you would not be our target market. :)

    Logbook?

I think most people are using the typical flight log that can be purchased at retailers who sell full-scale products. If you're an iPhone user stay tuned, there will be an app coming soon that includes many features useful to our hobby/industry, one of which will be a full flight log.

Would this be a good build for aerial photography?

You need the motors, props and battery to produce thrust that can hold the entire weight at 50% throttle.

That's good practice. The description doesn't sound like a total motor/esc failure anyway.

Based on the specs, it seems that will handle what you need. Much smaller stator - but the specs seem close for RPM, so I guess it won't produce too much vibes while filming. Just make sure your calculations for total weight include the batteries you plan to use.

You need about 400g of thrust per motor to hover at 50%. It seems they may be over powered. Unfortunately, the specs are confusing for that model. I had a V3508 - 580kv model that provided exactly 400g thrust with 13" prop on 4S battery. I actually got a bit more efficiency from 12" props.

Would this be a good build for aerial photography?

I'm assuming you did some calculations first for the thrust provided for the weight you will have?

Were the wires exposed by the crash? Seems like it would have plummeted down if a motor/esc went out - but exposed wires never sounds good :)

I don't see those listed. I see a 3508 at 700kv. Did you find them on buddyrc?

And both times the safe mode kicked in was you triggering it - so it wasn't a loss of radio connection. Have you powered it up since the crash? Have you sent the log to Xaircraft? They may be able to see something that we can't. Hopefully some of the experts here will chime in and notice...

Ah. Can you describe the crash, and what happened prior to it?

One thing that stands out to me is that it shows being in safe mode starting at about 1 minute, 10 seconds or so. Then again at the end. Did you engage that manually? or did it happen due to interference? The number look pretty good to me otherwise. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Gimbals & Encoders 2nd half 2015 Have we Arrived?

Agreed. That's a bit much. I know they added the top bar to the tray - but 33% without any type of explanation is more like a different model.

Would this be a good build for aerial photography?

Yep. It's all the same. There are actually smaller pads for accessories too.

Would this be a good build for aerial photography?

Where are you seeing leads??? Think of it this way: if you wanted (please don't), you could run all the positive power wires to the same + pad and stack them one on top of another, soldering them into a big mess. And then all the negative wires to a - pad making another mess. The power...

Would this be a good build for aerial photography?

You are going to need to solder all 6 ESCs to the PDB, as well as the lead for the battery, and any other leads you need for extra power (gimbal, FPV, LEDs etc). Each will have both positive and negative - and there are clearly marked spots to solder these to on the PDB. I highly recommend...

Would this be a good build for aerial photography?

You absolutely do NOT want to tap power from the balance plug. It can pull power from the individual cells at various rates. It's easy enough to do it the other way - which is to Solder connectors and wires from the PDB and power the things you need. Also, look into cheap BUCK regulators ($10/5...

I'm not sure what you mean by JST of the battery, but that doesn't sound right. Don't blow anything up! :)
