    Quad does not always arm...

Do they beep when they don't arm?

How in the world do you fly FPV??

On the simpler FCs I always bound the radio fail safe with a combination of stick/switch positions so that it kicked into Horizon (or whatever the FC called level mode) and throttle slightly under hover so it lowered slowly. Fortunately, never had to see it in action - and never had the nerve...

    Quad does not always arm...

Yes, I'm actually saying you MUST do it this way if you want the esc/throttle cal to be correct :) That's just for the esc/throttle cal. Before this - you should be making sure all sub-trims are centered and doing the Naza assistant stick cal. If you've done that already - just plug each servo...

    Battery Recycling

There are Aton of various places - mostly tool/hardware type stores around here. Just nice to know there is a safe, sanctioned way to dispose of them.

    Quad does not always arm...

As far as I have always understood it - for every RC situation (cars/truck, planes, quads etc) the radio always goes on first. It surprises me to hear that openpilot would suggest that the quad be turned on first. If moving the throttle changes the arming success - that definitely sounds like...

    Battery Recycling

Hey folks. Just thought I'd share a link to the organization that was recently discussed by the AMA - which seems to be a very easy solution for recycling our Lipo batteries. Check out: http://www.call2recycle.org In my small town of 15,000 there are almost 10 local places that participate...

    Quad does not always arm...

First, make sure you always turn on the transmitter first. But it sounds like this may be an issue of the sticks not being calibrated. Have you done the stick cal in the Naza assistant? Before you do, make sure the sub-trims are all centered. Have you done a throttle/esc calibration?

How in the world do you fly FPV??

Damn! Sorry to hear you lost your MR. It's an awful sinking feeling. It was probably worse breaking it to the kids. But I t happens, and you'll get back on the horse.

InfinityMR Universal high performance gimbal for GH4/A7S size cameras

It seems to me, without fully diving into the principals, that the GPS could be just one more piece of the puzzle that can lend a hand. True, it may complicate things. But we obviously use it to our advantage for the flight controller - so if the algorithm is written well, tapping into the...

NAZA M starts at 50% throttle?

No sweat. That throws off people (myself included) if you've come from the open source boards. I came from multiwii - and it scared the hell out of me :)

InfinityMR Universal high performance gimbal for GH4/A7S size cameras

I think the major difference is the inclusion of GPS in the Zen and Movi gimbals. This apparently helps to correct for horizon issues, which are inherent in these machines.

NAZA M starts at 50% throttle?

This is normal in ATTI and GPS modes. The Naza operates with the 50% throttle for a type of auto-lift off. Then the 50% throttle maintains a hover, and above should raise the craft, below should lower it. Manual mode would have a more linear response.

How tight should I tighten my props?

Grab some extras once you find them. They will lose their grip after a enough removals.

How tight should I tighten my props?

You don't need to go crazy with tightening. I would suggest getting some Nyloc nuts in the appropriate size for your motors. That will eliminate the stress of not having reverse-threaded mounts.

    60/65% throttle hover more effecient

It does when you're home. But I also charge at the field with a generator - and would probably always charge at a higher rate to make more flights possible.
