    XAircraft SuperX

Yeah, my digital pitch gauge is an RC Logger 2 and it was originally designed for SRH. What I learned from using it with the MR is that this accuracy is almost TOO acurate. I now stick to using the good old mark 1 eyeball which a/ saves me a lot of time and b/ gets me into a pretty good ball...

S800 stuff up, think it was me but thoughts and suggestions appreciated :)

That's for sure. With one guy I saw who failed to keep his finger off and give the throttle some beans, I had been flying his rig seconds before hand and it flew perfectly. When he took over having been given very clear instructions to keep his right hand away etc, he didn't, had a bit of a...

    XAircraft SuperX

Hey Kloner, the problem with the angle finder as I found out is that it is very good at getting ALL of the motors perfectly aligned in relation to each other. However, if even by a small amount they are not perfect with the vertical alignement of the aircraft then you will get a fairly big...

naza m v2 VS my Mac do I have to get a PC?

You may well indeed need a PC or, setup bootcamp on the mac or use Parallels. Both these latter two options still require you to purchase a licenced version of windows but that can be done cheaply if you go online and get an OEM version. Parallels adds to the cost but so worth it in my opinion...

Guys I really need some help!

What's the subject you hope to film? What are your camera specs-DSLR, point and shoot, etc? Once the details of the payload are named down then we can look at an aircraft to deal with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Another pesky Brit...

Welcome to the addiction! Hope you find this forum as useful as I have. Lots of time to search and read through at the moment given the lousy GB weather! Your pilot looks spot on- a lot more sensible than some of the pilots I have seen posting stuff on Youtube and the like!

    XAircraft SuperX

Hi Kloner, I had exactly the same all be it on my WKM. The cause was purely my motors not all being vertically aligned. Using a digital pitch gauge I got what I thought was a perfect alignment. It turned out that I was .3 of a degree out on all my motors. Once re-aligned all my motors span at...

S800 stuff up, think it was me but thoughts and suggestions appreciated :)

Top tip for taking off in GPS mode- ie purple led. 1/ Keep you right hand well away from the stick (prevents any inadvertant inputs on take off). 2/ Give it the beans when you want to take off so you get the aircraft well clear of the ground asap. Once the aircraft is 2ft above the ground start...

Recalibrating ESC's after a Motor replacement?

Calibrating ESCs is normally done to let the ESCs know where the end points are on the transmitter so this is indeed very odd ie replacing a motor should not necessitate any recal of the ESCs. The idea about the KK board mentioned above sounds a bit more plausible.

    Greetings from a rainy UK

Welcome my good man. The rain really sucks at the moment that's for sure but once it clears, you are going to have a riot with the P2. Anyway, if you have any questions, ask away as there is no such thing as a dumb question here- some dumb answers for sure but not questions. All the best.

    Hello From Mexico!

Welcome to a wealth of information. Read, read and then read some more. I am not sure how experienced you are with RC but assuming no knowledge then I would start by building a small cheap machine to learn the basics and build up from there. If you know someone locally who is into MRs or FPV...

    Wookong issue

Well, this could be the issue. This normally happens when the ESCs are not all correctly callibrated.

Baffled wiring a switch for gimbal

This is where a certain tool comes in handy- a fluke meter/multimeter or whatever they are called. You can pick these up pretty cheaply and in my opinion this is one of those 'vital' tools to have. Not only will it allow you to suss out what is going on with something like this, it will also...

DJI iOSD Mark II - Convert meters to feet

Its odd that they they say that metric is the world standard. To a degree it is but for aviation, feet is the world standard for altitude. What's really odd though, is that you got a reply from DJI!

Considering getting DX18, what other options should I consider?

What I would really recommend if you can, is to try and get a hold of each of the transmitters you are considering. Make sure it is comfortable in your hands and you like the way it all works. The ergonomics are a pretty key part of any transmitter and it doesn't matter how loudly we shout about...

Quad vs Hex for a noob

If you are just learning then go with the Quad. The lessons are pretty much the same, they will be as easy to fly depending on which flight controller you use but crucially in the beginning, the Quad will be easier to build/repair and cheaper. The one advantage the Hex has over the quad is the...
