F450 carbon fiber landing gear extensions

Looks good. Just curious...is there a reason the legs are mounted with the curve toward the center? Seems like the quad would be more stable if the legs were curved out. I suspect they could be mounted either way, however. Jack

DJI F550 Hexa Build with WKM

Is there going to be an "upgrade kit" for the F550 Flame Wheel to migrate a Naza F450 Kit to the new frame (i.e., frame, 2 motors, 2 ESCs, cables)? Jack

I had good service from Lou @ http://hobby-drones.com/ Jack

Perhaps this is the answer. Was to be available in February; now March. http://gopro.com/hd-hero-accessories/wi-fi-bacpac-remote-combo/ Jack

    Altitude Hold

    Got it. Thanks, Ken. Jack

    Altitude Hold

Am I correct in assuming that altitude hold in the WK-M is controlled by GPS, whereas in the Naza it's controlled by a barometer? Thanks. Jack

Can soneone explain "gain" to me.

Boy, did that help. I boosted all the gains up and it really settled things down. I took the vertical up from 135 to 150 and it holds altitude much better. Still have to touch the throttle once in a while, but not like before. Thanks for the guidance. Jack

Can soneone explain "gain" to me.

Thanks, Steve. I believe my Tx is calibrated properly. I think I'll try bumping up the vertical gain and see if that helps. Jack

Where do you order prints from?

Try mpix (http://www.mpix.com). Good product; good prices. Jack

Can soneone explain "gain" to me.

I have a stock Naza F450 kit and I'm having trouble understanding the concept of what adjusting the gain in the Autopilot section of the Assistant software is really doing. I read that if it's too high, the craft will oscillate; and if too low, it's hard to control. While I get the oscillation...

Looking for Camera Mount - F450 Flame Wheel

Thanks, Ed. I lost that link. I found the mount on the Aerial Tech site, but no forecast shipping date. I see from your link, they're indicating around 28 Jan. Jack

Looking for Camera Mount - F450 Flame Wheel

Thanks, Ken. FWIW, I did balance the props as best I could prior to mounting---perhaps I'll take them off and try again. Meanwhile I'll try to find a set of Graupners. I'd seen the above video on one of your other posts and was impressed with the smoothness of it, then. Would you mind...

Looking for Camera Mount - F450 Flame Wheel

I'm looking for a GoPro camera mount for my Naza kit quad. I tried mounting the camera directly to one of the tabs on the base-plate, but the video was somewhat "wavy," which I attribute to vibration. Upon closer inspection, the tabs are not perfectly rigid; they're a little "springy." I've...

Bart, I flew KC-135s & C-130s. Thanks for the tips. I thnk my my learning curve would be shortened if it weren't for the fact that I have vision in only one eye (i.e., no depth perception). Freak accident post-Air Force. Jack Jack
