    Hoverfly Hoverfly on Golf Channel

It will be used for features and B roll. No one but idiots on twitter are imagining that it would be used during competition. As far as safety, I agree. Perspective is sometimes difficult to ascertain from a picture. We cleared areas and had people walking with the unit clearing a lane. Most...

Hoverfly PRO/GPS Firmware Update v4.8 Beta

Two things. First, if your Primary and Autolevel gain are not optimized (just shy of maximum tolerable gain) then you can get circling. Also, you can try twisting your magnetometer clockwise 5 degrees. If it gets worse try it counter clockwise 5 degrees. Don't redo the calibration just use...

Hoverfly PRO/GPS Firmware Update v4.8 Beta

You can arm without GPS lock. However, watch the LED on the HFGPS carefully. If it continues to blink purple then its not seeing the GPS antenna and will not arm. If it turns red (indicating that the GPS antenna was detected and is now waiting for a fix) then you can arm. If you wait till it...

Hoverfly PRO/GPS Firmware Update v4.8 Beta

On gain tuning. This assumes that you start with a low safe primary gain value. I lift off. Get out of ground effects. Give the throttle a little burst. When the gain is too high it will shimmy. Wa wa wa wa. Really quickly. To get to this point I start reasonably low and work up little by...

Hoverfly PRO/GPS Firmware Update v4.8 Beta

Not sure what your setup looks like but you may improve the altitude features by adding some light blocking foam over the barometer. This also acts to average out quick pressure changes due to changes of directions, etc.

    Hoverfly Spektrum DX8 and AH

Use the three position switch marked Flap/Gyro on the DX8. This is the default switch if you follow the suggested receiver connections in the HoverflyPRO manual. Position 0 is AH-OFF and Position 2 is AH-ON

Hoverfly One problem solved another persists

It very well may be because your throttle range is too close to the ESC minimum throttle value. I would go back into the Setup client and make sure that the throttle range is set maybe one click up from the lower throttle value...

    Hoverfly Magnetic hold

Its a preference thing. Try it with and without. Actually I would be interested to hear your opinion. I believe it is better to use the magnetic hold. The PH seems more controlled.

    Hoverfly Magnetic hold

If you are using the HoverflyGPS....AND....you want to use magnetic yaw hold then tick the box. Normally the yaw is controlled based on the gyroscope on the HoverflyPro. If you are using the HoverflyGPS then you have the added ability to use the magnetometer to hold the yaw in position.
