I have been considering the X486 as I have seen alot of these in use.

And for the money, it looks like a good value. Not the latest and greatest but a very good camera platform.
Well....about several months of flying around and only breaking 2 props and the GPS shaft, I have decided that it's time to put my GoPro Hero2 under this this and snap some photos.
I am curious about your experiences with the landing gear and camera rig combo. What works, what doesn't and what...
No need to spent the extra dollars .... Yet.
Once you get familiar with the aircraft AND have a desire to lift things into the air... Like a camera. The stock 8" props are great.
You will know when it's time to move up to the Graupner props.
I am flying a F550 with a NAZA controller. A friend suggested that I try adding the GPS.
Does anyone have any suggestions...pros/cons?
I have seen the WK gps but have not yet seen the NAZA gps.
How was the install and is there a firmware update required?
Joe
No issues here. I ordered a F550 from Robert and had it fully assembled by his team and test flown. It arrived in just a couple of days with great service and response from Robert on my newbie type questions.
I agree with Robert. The Law Enforcement market is untapped and ready for UAV.

Has any one used the new Hyperion HP-EOS606IAD?
I like the looks but am skeptical of the power supply and charger combined.
Which charger really is the best? I use 4s 5000mAh.
Joe
Great idea. My local Hobby Town caters mostly to cars and buggies. Not much stuff there for those who fly.
They are very knowledgeable and vehicles but not as much for planes and heli.
Thanks very much for your suggestions.

Hi Will,
Glad I read your post.
I was about to order a battery pack and charger and thought I was done!
I guess not. :(
Now I gotta look for a power supply.
Joe
Thanks guys for your wonderful advice.
I came back the well again today with another question......
What's the best battery for the F550.
Any pros and cons you can share?
Thanks!
Joe
