Correct. What about a barrel connector? My Fatshark goggles can be powered via 3s battery or 12v dc plug. Both methods utilize a barrel plug connection. I would assume that this type would have to have enough contact surface. Let me say as well, I have limited hand dexterity and I'm trying to...
I know many people use a Dean's plug to connect their battery to their multirotor, but I find it difficult to plug and unplug. Is anyone using a barrel plug or has anyone tried a 1/4" phone plug?
Brushless motors won't corrode over time? What about waterproofing FC and ESCs? Silicon? What about heat from lack of airflow? I crashed my F450 in a flooded rice field and didn't find it for over 2hrs. It was full submerged. When I did find it, the LEDs were still blinking and I only burned up...

Yea I'm checking the voltage right after flight. Both batteries drain properly individually. It's just when combined that the problem occurs. I'll recheck my harness and all my connections. Thanks.
I rigged up a dual battery system on my 450 quad using a Y type harness. When the Naza V2 battery alarm starts to blink I check the batteries to see how much has drained. Both batteries were draining but one quite a bit more than the other. Also I can't understand why the alarm keeps going off...
Has anyone tried to build a pusher type multirotor (blades and motors mounted underside) instead of a puller (motors and blades mounted on top)? Just curious if it would be practical.
Uuuuuh...got a little mud on my quad today. All motors quit right after take off and it dropped like a rock. Not sure what happened. Maybe loose connection. The scarecrow did work for about 3 sec.
I meant siren when I said horn. I still would like to try it.
Long night of cleaning ahead of me.
vinito- I have to scare them off several times a day at three different locations so buckshot would get pretty expensive quick.
I was thinking about hanging a lightweight scarecrow from the bottom to add mass to my F450. It might work better than the horn. I'll report my findings tomorrow.
