Wiring up WKM esc's

Guys, I am busy wiring the WKM to the esc's. I read that the red esc wire needs to be removed...do I have to remove this, or will it work okay still connected? I'd rather no cut the wire if I don't need to.

Thanks,

Gunter.

DJI says yes. Before the PMU I powered my MU with all my esc's connected and did not have any overheating problems. Now I am doing a new build of a 500 sized quad and I am using an ArduCoptor PDB. The esc's plug into the board and it has a four lead plug from the PDB to the FC and a separate two wire power plug.

Gunter dont have to, just try it with them on. It a b...ch confgirung the ESCs afterwards without it. If the ESCs get to hot than you can consider.

Thanks for the replies...I have actually just tried to pull the red wire out of the connector, and it comes out quite easily. I used a scalpel to lift the locking tab and the wire slides out. I will just do this to make sure it's okay. I then put heatshrink over the terminal.

:)

Another question. When connecting the esc wires to the main controller, the plug fits in both ways?? Can anyone tell me what colour wire goes to the top? White or black.

Vielen Dank :)

On top is the servos signal white or orange/yellow. middle it red/plus and bottom is black/gnd, same for the other plug side of the MC
