Im new to multirotors (and this forum- hi all). I currently fly helis (700 size) and need a new project.
Im fancy building a hex for av use and like the idea of fpv.
So where do i start? Ive been trying to read lots but cant find what im after.
Current idea is to start small (not spend loads) and if i get into it go larger later. So DJI F550 with Naza and gps. (i was thinking youd get redundancy with the hex but from what ive seen it doesnt look like you do) Spekky DX8 with telemetry (currently use a JR DSX11, but i was thinking telemetry for the hex), aeroxcraft legs and gopro gimbal, gopro 3 silver.
Can i use the spekky radio for this? Im getting confused reading about long range fpv and all those ground stations look complicated!
Im sure ive seen someone use something plugged into the trainer port of a dx8 which gave more range? But with that theres no point of telemetry and id may as well stick with my JR.
Im in the UK. What kind of simple stuff can i use for fpv video (more for framing the video too start but i like the idea of flying through the woods - i wouldn't be into flying miles up high)
Cheers
