Hoverfly What Makes Good Aerial Video

Yeah, I was talking about the handheld gimbal, although I thought they were one in the same? Which Gimbal are you flying?

Sorry missed this question.

I fly the 2 axis version of their gimbal with their frame:

The handheld is a 3 axis gimbal but setup differently. It could be converted for flight easy enough though:

Since I have 2 of their earlier frames/gimbals they let me be a beta tester for the handheld and gave me a nice discount :)

I also have this 3 axis gimbal which I just flew with this past weekend:

For the price it does pretty well (crappy test video):

What controller does it use? The video looks pretty good. Its interesting how the field where you fly changes from video to video.

As it turns out it uses the alexmos code but I suspect it's the unencrypted code as the board is a custom board with the sensor and everything all in one board.

That field was supposed to be an elementary school when we moved into the neighborhood. It was supposed to be built in time for our daughter to attend. She's now in Freshman in HighSchool.

Someone does go and mow the field periodically though, and it looks like lots of people love to drive around in the mud :)

I loved all the cameras in that commercial, how would it be to have access to that kind of gear! :)

Excellent videos. I had to stop them every so often to admire the equipment. Time to design a aqua-terra-aero quad.

Make sure it folds! ;)

So I'm not sure if this thread or the "Big Boy Setup" thread would be the best for a question like this but I'll try it here.

I've got my little 3 axis GoPro gimbal setup with its own transmitter and remote control. A videographer friend of mine who is really interested in this stuff ran the camera for me and I piloted the quad. I was just wondering how others may have setup their camera radio? I put yaw control on the left stick and pitch control on the right stick. But I was wondering if having it all on one stick would be better/easier? Also, would adding in some expo be a good idea to make it less responsive/twitchy?

Any insight would be appreciated.
