Weird stuff when mapping the U channel for GPS-ATTI etc HELP PLEASE!

So I've got "U" channel on 3 pos sw on my futaba 10CHG mapped to switch between GPS-ATTI-ATTI, however every time I throw the switch, the assistant says "RC lost" unless I leave it in the middle (ATTI) then it says "NORMAL" however even when it says signal lost, the transmitter is still working and the green light on the A2 receiver stays solid green, If I switch the transmitter off, it goes red like it should however I'm not seeing failsafe activate. Help!.
Here is a link to a video of what its doing when I flip it back and forth http://youtu.be/To0ZRPJWisI?list=UU_mMqCPwVhBKQEoRtFbIo3Q little background, this is all on a bench test scenario with no motors or ESC's attached, not sure if that makes a difference. It also boots up in assistant with "bad compass data" however I can take the whole mess outside and flip the U switch a million times back and forth and it will not calibrate, maybe cause it knows theres no motors or ESC's and it's like why bother dummy..?
I just wanted to do as much pre-config with tx and rx before I commit to using this system. Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

You haven't adjusted that switch. Meaning you are 'over shooting' your other flight modes. You can see that by clicking BASIC and then RC.

I fixed my problem by downloading and modifying a profile for my Futaba 14SG.

Honestly unsure how to 'fix' it, since only 1 switch ever gave me that problem when i was fiddling with it, and everything else was working fine...

Hopefully someone will tell you how to adjust the switch position.

I tried the other 3 pos switch and it has the same result.. argggg.
I just checked in the blue tooth app, and it's showing it going to double failsafe when it should be in GPS and last ATTI, only shows normal in mid pos which is ATTI I am so confused right now. everything else is mapped, return to home IOC landing gear etc.
Just can't seem to get the most important one working. I also keep getting a "bad compass data" error when I launch assistant. I can't cal compass until I map the U channel correctly, am I right??

With your controller connected to Assistant and the switch in the center position, adjust the sub-trim to get the slider highlighted. Then go to the end point adjustment for that switch. Move it to each of the extremes and adjust the end point for that position to have it highlighted. Do the same for the next position. You should be good to go.
