Since I bought my Discovery Pro it has had little bumps in the video when the pitch axis has an movement.
At first I thought it was the dampening system so I removed the gimbal and mounted it to a standard RCTimer Gimbal upper assembly for testing. Even when moving the gimbal slowly in my hands it still gets the pitch axis "bumps".
I ruled out the motor having a spot in it by trying two different gimbal motors that I had laying around on handheld equipment. Both had the pitch axis bumps.
I tried tuning it out but to no avail (tried adjusting power, P, and D)
I tried different firmwares as well. This is not my first gimbal so I know older firms can sometimes be problematic.
The gimbal moves freely with no warping when it is off so I have no clue what else could be causing this besides a problem with the control board.
For now I have a cheap Tarot gimbal mounted with its own control board but I would really like to use the stock gimbal.
Any ideas on what else it could be?
