Vertical speed increase in Manual Mode

I know someone has posted a solution to this common issue with respect to the DJI Flight computers but I can't seem to locate it now.
I need to adjust my Cinestar 8 system so that I can transition between GPS, Attitude and Manual without the powerful vertical speed surge when I switch over to manual.
Was it an RC configuration issue of FC gains issues or something else?
Can someone please steer me in the right direction...?

Thanks

Easy? You call that easy?
Manual mode depends entirely on your setup (AUW, motors and props). I'm not sure it's a programming thing to be honest.

You will need to modify your throttle curve for manual flight. As Benjamin stated, in manual the controller does not compensate so you are hovering at 50% throttle. I have a F330 on 4S that hovers at about 40% throttle and I have to adjust from there.

Thx Ben & Ed....
I think what you are saying that one modified throttle curve will be used for all 3 FC modes such that the big speed jump will be minimized.

Erm, no. Don't modify the GPS/ATTI mode throttle curves. It is honestly best just to predict the handling on manual mode and compensate yourself.

Cool?

Ben I agree but if you have a center loaded throttle, you are fighting the spring. In that circumstance adjusting the throttle curve is more effective.

I am not yet familiar with throttle curve adjustment within Futaba Transmitters.
But in the meantime do globally adjust the throttle curve so all three FC modes use i, e.g., exponential such that response in the middle of the throttle range is very soft or......
Do a activate a specific throttle curve at the same time that I activate the Manual mode?
