i went out yesterday and was practicing chasing a newer smaller version of the model... the kits going to market soon. first time trying this with my hoverfly/xy8.... it was hard to stay on it, bigger mutlirotor, smaller super hero, and fast. theres a ground clip that shows what i was chasing in a 100 yard circle at best

3:55 was a pretty big dive,,,,, i've already pressed this thing way harder than a disco,,,,, now just gotta get comftorable down low without atti...... that's gonna take a while..... probably should try the alt hold thing this controller has soon. the superman scenes were shot in self level, the fpv parts were manual mode. The dives are a blast fpv, but that thing falls like a rock

To the best of my knowledge, nobody has ever been allowed to fly anything powered at the glider port..... i flew 8 motors over it..... and they loved it

anybody know who Dustin Johnson is? gotta crash course train him on how to fly this thing buddybox in a couple hours.

theres still a bunch of this stuff uploading, but man was today a blast. We flew these flyguy models for Addidas at there shoe launch the adizero.

The event today was huge success. Weather was beautiful; high 70s and 5 mph wind. We setup and met/briefed golf pros Brandt Snedeker (2012 FedEx Cup Winner), Dustin Johnson (Won the first tour event this year) and Jason Day (2012 runner up in the Masters and US Open).

A welcome to the press was performed by Adidas to the launch their new golf shoe, the Adizero. Next it was announced that the three golf pros were flying in dressed in the new shoes. We launched three radio controlled Flyguys with the golfer’s faces and the shoes from a remote area and performed an arrival with several aerobatic maneuvers and then landed behind a trailer. The three pros emerged from behind the trailer tired from their flight.

The press briefing proceeded on the new shoe for about 20 minutes and then the golfers went out to the middle of the field. We then proceeded to perform low flybys with the golfers pretending to fly the planes for photos. Next we put all the golfers on buddy boxes and they flew themselves. I was amazed at how well each of the golfers flew their flyguys. They each flew for about 5 minutes with very little intervention. I’m not just saying this to be nice, they were good.

After it was all over and before we got the boot, we took these three models in formation down along blacks beach, the lead had a hero3 looking back at the other two. There was all kinds of high 5's and cocktails afterwards. We'd been practicing it for a week, it was finally over and no mishaps

I flew Jason Day, buddy boxed as well. the model was the one with the yellow shirt

We built one here at the MaxAmps shop. Not going to be able to fly it until later this spring though. It is not Superman but it is a full size guy. We just have to find a way to turn it into some kind of advertising and then we will have an excuse for why we spent the time to build it. I like the Iron Man aspect though. Definitely post on here if you create something in that regard.

hahaha, awesome guys!

So the deal now that it's all over was Superman went viral the day i was learning to fly one of these things for this event. It almost tanked the whole gig, but we did it and got it done. It;s funny, everywhere we go with these now all you see if cell phones all around us in the sky facing the flying people Tablets too, alot of tablets

hahaha, addidas slacks too.... i even shaved, my daughters teacher didn't recognize who i was when was dropping her off
