Sony HX9V Vs NEX 5N?

Is the stabilizer in the camera something you want? are all the killer vids you guys make with it stabilized?

I shoot video for a living but have just started AP but i'd say all the smooth videos we see are either in camera or after effects post stabilised or both.

The difference in the footage i shoot with a canon 70-200 lens with good IS at 200mm compared to even my 24-70 at 24mm with no IS is like night and day. The steady cam looking glides we see must be stabilised. also shooting at 50p and slowing to 25p will smooth footage a lot.

That why things like the rx100 and hx9v look good because their optical stabilization is really good. if hear the NEX5n lens based stabilization is not great. but i still think it's probably the best thing for me to get at the moment and stsbilize in post.

Wonder if i can get something like this insured? or do most guys just break em and buy another? this was the last time out
