hello again
i have a question regarding soldering and connectors, i recently just got 2 turnigy 4000mah 3s packs. woot!
the problem i have is they have 8 gauge wire to what appears to be 5mm bullets, and the wire that i have on hand and that feeds the power board on the dji flamewheel is 14 gauge.
i figure im not pulling enough current to make that big of a difference, but my question is around how to get the 8gauge wire connected to a deans connector, with out snipping the existing tips off the battery, it looks like the wire will be taking up most of the back end of the connector.
can anyone offer some advice for how to get this solved? im gonna be heading to a hobby store tomorrow(as radio shack sucks for parts) to look for 5.5mm bullets.
or is there a way to get a deans plug connected up?
thanks in advance.
(edit)
i think the google helped me with my question, seems im not alone here so i trimmed the wire so that i could fit it on the end of the plug, fluxed and tinned the cable 1 lead at a time, soldered it up to the connector, then repeated....
