S 800 flips

Hi

Today i help a friend to setup his S 800 , we carefully control all settings in assistent , Imu and GPS settings , all controls to RC and so on

But when we takeoff , the motors start up and rev ok , the GPS signal was locked and Ok and i slightly get more power to get it up it flip to the right :sour: upside down ??? i flown a lot with my own hexa and WKM with no problem

The arms are assembled from factory and was right on the frame ?

Any suggestions what is wrong ?

Tons o reports about this. Search for "flip of death" on here and you will find a few threads about it. DJI have been replacing the faulty units. I forget the exact cause, but it's outlined in the thread. I think it's the wookong that needs to be replaced.

they recalled the gps pucks. old style with the black ring are ok, the newer pucks are junk. gotta get ahold of your dealer

Look at the recall site and make sure

There was also an esc recal or something

Hello stiffe..
The problem was that you have choice wrong way on the imu.. The imu is poiting forward.. Not backward as the picture shows.. (rc-group)
And he has correct gps antenna..

Sorry to say but this was a human fault..

i have had this problem too when wrongly connecting the Motor cables to the MC. check your esc connections to see if they match
