Retracts

I have 7 sets of the Tarots, and they work, and are cheap enough that you can keep a spare set around.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
I've got a set of the Tarot that are a knockoff of the DJI S800 (maybe 900?) set. They're slightly modified, make me an offer and i'll send them to you. :)

How would you use retract on an X8?

Add "Nub" arms or get frame plates that allow them.
With a Vulcan or a Cinestar type frame, just use nub arms... meaning cut arms down and mount them in-between your "X" make them like 4" long and mount the retracts.

I have the H3, its pretty cool. I have not connected it to FC, just use an SBUS Rx and its good to go. Recently I saw that someone was using the Bluetooth module in a Sony QX1 to operate the camera and to stream 720P. I don't know how much lag there is or what Bluetooth module they were using to extend the range from the QX1, it was king of like Lightbridge for the QX1. The GH4 has similar Bluetooth capabilities, that's what I use with the H3 handheld.

I bought mine at GotHeliRC but looking on their site now it seems they've gone up in price. I could have sworn when I bought mine it was around $50 for the pair, now it's $44.95 each retract - http://www.gothelirc.com/products/2506-tarot-retract-landing-gear-for-x4-x6-x8/
You will also need their controller - http://www.gothelirc.com/products/2453-tarot-650680690x4x6x8-retract-controller/

Tried looking for my receipt to confirm price but can't find confirmation email at this time. Still a good deal for just over $100.
