Quad doesn't level it self

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and new owner (2 months) of a Quadcopter with NAZA M V2. A few days ago I went (for the first time) in the DJI NAZA assistant 2.2 software to change the GPS location (manufacturer recommendation). But when I test flight after, the Quad had a few problems...First, the motors would not stop (like it usually do) if I give no throttle for 5 seconds. Second problem...the quad would not level itself after I released the joysick (example when moving left to right). It would keep moving at a angle. Releasing the joystick would not make all the motors spin at he same speed. I did calibrate my sticks in the software and calibrate the IMU (although he software said it was not needed).

What happened?

Thanks!

p.s. sorry fo m English..it is not my native language.

Sounds like you're in manual mode. Do you have the modes selectable on your tx? To shut down the motors in manual you need to do the same stick actions you do to start.

I always fly in manual mode. Yes, I have a 3 position toggle switch (manual, atti and gps). It's always set to manual. When I first got my quad, I wanted to learn in manual so would't have to rely on GPS. Since then, I always fly in manual mode.
Also, before I could let down the throttle for 5 seconds and it would shutdown (in manual mode).

the not stopping is most likely the motor settings "cut off type" intelligent does like he said it does now

Easy? You call that easy?
Sounds normal then. Manual means just that, manual levelling. And like Kloner said, in intelligent cut off you have to hold the throttle down for 3 seconds.

I did not change any of the settings in the sofware (except the gps location) for the quad to behave like this (dangerously). An yes, I change the cut off type to ''immediatly'' and it does shuts off (but strangely, before It would work fine in intelligent mode - in manual mode). But even then, the quad is not controllable. It doesn't behave as before.

sounds like you weren't in manual before, no self leveling in manual, try atti and see if it behaves like it used to. My motors won't shut down in manual unless I move the sticks as per start up.

Well..I feel quite stupid. Just did a flight test in A mode and it worked like a charm. I think I just understood my problem. I bought the quad RTF....and what I think is that the toggle switch was programmed like this: M=ATTI, A=TTI and GPS=GPS. It would explain why I thought I was flying in manual mode.

Many thanks to you!

Well now you get to discover the "joys" of manual all over again!
