Newbie with a DJI 450 and Naza

Tried another USB port and it worked!But the gains were on another value now?
I changed the two attitude gains to 90 but they showed red,when i unplug the assistant and plug it in again,the values are back on 140?

If i change 1% the figures turn red,so i must be doing something wrong?

Arizona is a bit too far, lol

The values will remain red until you tab off and write the new
value. It's the way to indicate one has been changed.

After you change the values hit the "write" option up top to lock them in.

Thanks for the reply Des... I was just a little (?) confused as VINF550 said he used sub trim to cure his drift and you said don't. It only need a couple of click to stop the drift.

Hey Peter, you're right never user trim or sub-trim
If you have drift first make sure your COG is spot on, re-calibrate your Tx sticks, re-calibrate the IMU through the tools menu in the assistant software, re-write all your menus and re-calibrate your compass.

That typically stops drift and makes sure you are back to a zero setting.
If it still drifts please post up as there are a few more in depth options to stop drift that I just can't post right now. :0)

Hi dean. The values are not changing because you haven't saved them. If values are RED it means they haven't been written to the FC. Press the WRITE button as already mentioned. Do you have the manual? Download it and work your way through from the beginning. I used a video by pitchbitchbrothers (something like that) which gave general set up tips.

RED doesn't mean the values are wrong!

Dean, these settings are almost the same as mine. The second line Attitude Gains controls the gains for the attitude pitch and roll.

Okay, the first line of numbers for pitch, roll, yaw and vertical is the basic gain and determines how the Naza responds to your stick inputs. The second line (both 91% in DesJardins picture above) represent the Attitude gains for pitch and roll (yes, pitch and roll again). The attitude gains are the ones you want to lower. The attitude gains determines how quickly the Naza responds to non-commanded inputs (Wind for instance:nevreness. If it wobbles in the hover in ATTI mode then lower the ATTItude gains (see what I did there). It wobbles because the Naza is set to sensitive so commands the motor but the motor is not as sensitive as the Naza and can't keep up hence over correction and a wobble.

Can you believe my wife thought of the name Kenobi!? And shes the sensible one...Norwegians!

The Attitude gain is the "stick input reaction" while main gains are the Naza reacting to the environment without input.

Test it by putting the Attitide gain at 150 and LOS flying go forward at a good speed and let the stick input snap to center watching the MR auto-level very hard. Lower those to 80-90 and do the same watching the MR auto-level very smoothly.

Dean - how are you getting on with your F450? - I fly a 450 - any dumb sounding questions are very valid - just ask. I've been through your pain, mostly self-taught because I'm stubborn (or is that embarrassed?) and don't like asking Ask away .... please, no problem

Me and my 450 are getting along well,thanks for asking!
I flown it this weekend,and chrashed it.........................
I have no idea what happened,but broke the two white arms on it.I've allready fixed it,and now its flying again.
Only thing i am having now is that it wants to turn to the right,not very much but i have to steer a little now and then to keep it straight,anyone know what might cause this?Or
how to fix it?
It did that to before i chrashed it.

What mode are you flying it in when this happens? Manual, Attitude or GPS? or does it seem to do it in all?
You need to fix this because without a stable hover it's very difficult to fly at all!
