New naza with error 25

Just built my first quad (tbs disco) everything went pretty well until configuring the naza m v2. I keep getting "IMU initialization failure" error 25. It is brand new and never flown so no crashes although i guess it could have gotten messed up in shipping. I tried an advanced config but it never finishes -- waited hours and it only makes it about 1/2 way through. I have read about the "whack" solution but seems a little crazy to beat on a brand new MC. Should I whack it? or have it replaced?
Excuse my total newbness -- and any help is much appreciated

Try whacking it. It cannot hurt. If that does not work, I would contact your dealer for a replacement.

my thoughts as well -- not much to lose -- worse case scenario is that it still does not work after the whack - will try it when I get home.

well just finished whacking the hell out of it -- no luck -- still with error 25. Will not calibrate. I guess this one is going back to dji. very dissappointing.
