Any idea when those will be available? Also, do you have any more video shot on board? I finally picked up an NEX5N and this would work well with my existing landing gear from you.

thanks!

Can you tell us a little more about your setup, thundead? It looks like you are using a GoPro on the NEX gimbal? What are you using for stabilization of the camera itself? Also, what craft and landing gear are you using? Is this gimbal replacing an old one, and if so, how do you think it stacks up?

Thansk!

Hey Rob,

Any chance you have any footage that involves a little less rapid yaw movement? TBH, I start to get a little queezy in my stomach when I watch this. I don't do well on roller coasters either though, if that means anything to you. ;-)

Something that is a little more real world would be great... lofty floaty video that can showcase how stable this thing gets.

Didn't have to much time to tinker with it so was connected straight to my wookong M. I'm getting the bec on 6v installed with a separate controller and will see how it looks. Camera is indeed a gopro 2.

I had the first gimbal as well and I can say there's no comparison. Really well made gimbal. Landing gear and rail mount is off an xaircraft x650. Think the gimbal did extremely well considering the extremely gusty and windy conditions.

I have only had a chance to try mine for stills at the moment, but I am more than
happy with the quality. :)

What gimbal controller were you using for the video, Hoverfly, WKM ?

I might be totally wrong, but looking at the footage, was this from a mounted
GoPro on the gimbal and not a Nex5n ? the horizon looked very curved.

Looking forward to using mine for video very soon

Dave

Edit: I took so long typing and talking to someone, others have asked my questions already :highly_amused:

Did you mount the GoPro in its waterproof case, or some other method ?

I have attached a tiny 1 gram FPV camera for framing for stills until the
slim HDMI cable is available from Rob.

Were you using the Gopro with a Vtx downlink, you seemed to be keeping up with
the action very well. :)

Just checking in to see how things are going with this gimbal. Anyone else picked one up and have video that they can share?

i'm surprised that one video is under a f450 aint it? stock motors and all. what kinda flight times did that get?

Them quads get just that little bit of wobble in the flight controller that's hard for the gimble to cover up don't it.....
