mQX one for the road

Now that I spend a lot more time on the road for work I've been looking for an easy way to bring a quad along to kill time during the evenings at a hotel, here's what I've come up with...

Has pretty much everything including some spares tucked away in the foam. I originally bought the mQX as a bind and fly and have been using it with my old DX7 but in the interest of packing it all into the smallest amount of space I picked up one of the controllers from the full kit at the LHS for a very reasonable price. I've yet to try and fly it outdoors with the Eflite controller but it seems to work just fine indoors although a bit on the slow side compared to a "real" TX ;)

Ken, Nice set up. I would get rid of the RTF Tx and include one of your real Tx's. I tried the RTF Tx and that gave me the impression that the mQx was a dud. I set it up on my JR9503 and man what a difference having it on a good Tx. I have had mine for about 2 months and have a blast with it indoors. I need to take it outside sometime, but it has been so windy that i don't even take my larger MR's out. Hope you are having fun with your new job.

I am waiting for my "custom DJI" aluminum case for my S800.

Ed, I tried to make it all fit in the case along with the DX7 but it just doesn't work. I've flown it with both and while the RTF TX isn't nearly up to the standards of even a DX6 it does the job well enough for what I'll be doing with it. New job is a lot more interesting than the old one even though it's with the same company, I'm now working with the resellers rather than the direct sales force so now I get to cover New England, all 6 states. Fortunately the largest concentration is within 100 miles of where I live although the next two days I'll be way up in Vermont on the shores of lake Champlain!

Looks like plenty of new and interesting things hitting the market soon from the coverage of NAB I've seen, might have to start selling off some of the current fleet to make room for some new toys ;)
