Motor Numbering

I understand the KV number on motors but is the number before the KV mean anything. For example the Tarot 2814/700KV motor. What does the 2814 mean?

So it the larger diameter motor better than the narrower motors? I have the Tarot 4006/620k in route now but what is the difference for say the Tarot 2814/700KV which is longer but narrower?

the size has nothing to do with much, it's all about the data of what they do and if those battery and props that make that happen even fit. thrust vs props vs cell count.... kv is rpm per volt..... they all have a max amps, max prop, etc.

Mr take no prisoners!
And some motors measure the outside of the can and some measure the inside.... :livid:

Generally, wider, "disc", motors have more physical room for more poles and hence, higher pole counts. Short, fat, cans achieve the same magnetic swept pole area with different stator dimentions.

I have six 4006/620k with 1355 carbon fiber propellers in route for my new Tarot 680Pro that will use a 4s 5000mha 35c battery.

Hi every one i am having some issues with my newly built hexacopter V with the following specs
30A ESC,
DJI Naza m-lite with GPS compass,
motors are 1000kv
and using 5000mAh 3s 40-50C dis battery.

The truth is this is my first time moving onto a hexacopter. i know if i had bought a lower motor that would be great but already invested in them so may be later.

What i need help with is after the calibrations, software configuration, transmitter set up (New Taranis), when i fire it up only 4 motors start in sync which are motors 1,2,4 and 5( from front to back) this leaving motors 3 and 6 to respond when i pass the 50% throttle mark. i had this sort of issue before when i made my first quad but was fixed after ESC calibration. however i have gone over the caliberations ( throttle stick up procedure) again and again like 4times with 3 and 6 motors ESC's. for some reason they only respond after i reach the 50% throttle stick half mark can anybody help me solve this issue?many thanks.
