Hi can anyone recommend a quality prop 18" x 6.1 in CF other than the T-motor ones for $120 a pair? I need two full set of 8
Thanks in advance!

The Foxtech FPV Supreme props are VERY nice. I think a better airfoil then T-motor.
Still not cheap, but really you won;t find a cheap quality prop in the 18" range as far as I know.

Sleepy, you're talking the Supreme's, not the Supreme Lite series correct? Regular Supreme (for 14x5.5) not cheap, $5/pair less then T-Motor, $72, but the Lite's are $19. You know the old saying "You get what you paid for", could end up with the Supreme rejects for that price.

I was considering the T-Motor Beech wood props ccw/cw but after factoring in the new mounting hubs it is almost as expensive as the normal T-Motor CF props but without the benefit of easy on/off. Also has a deeper pitch 14x6 instead of standard 4.8. Have you tired the beech wood props?

I don't like wood props. I think humidity can effect them compared to carbon.
I had used wood props in the past (few years back) and I remember balencing them to perfection, getting in a few nice flights,
then over night the rig would sit, and the next day it was like I added an inch of tape to some of the blades. Awful. shook the entire rig and nothing had changed except the humidity.

I have actually bought and used the Supreme light 15" props and they were not bad at all. Took a little balancing.
But the Supreme 18" are awesome. REALLY nice props.

Thanks, I may have to give them a try, cheaper than the Maytech and Genfam CF props I'm current;y using on my Disco Pro and DIY hex. The thing that disappointed me on both of those knockoffs is the mounting holes, seems like they used a blunt object to bore through instead of the nice clean holes of the T-Motors. These look very similar to the T-Motors in that regard.

I seem to remember you tested the Foxtech cc/ccw quick detach system but I don't remember your comments.

Ask KDE when they will release their CF props !

And please share the info :)

Oh BTW I bought 25 pairs of T-Motor props in the 15'' to 18'' range this year, got only 4 props (yes 2 pairs) balanced OK as is (DuBro)... On that lot 8 props are sooooooo much off that the hub needed to be carved up to 2.5mm on a 3cm length on one side and loaded of CA glue on the other side... You can see the fabric inside the CF sandwich at that point (wich I don't like)... And the worst batch I got was the 18'' lot... Maybe I'm just unlucky but that step used many hours of my precious time without any fun doing it...

Props hubs balancing (vertical on DuBro) are the worst part... No huge (abnormal) out on horizontal (sandpaper + very little layer of glue on the opposite end of the blade for the worst)... Never used Xoar high end matched pairs so I don't have anything to compare... I get very meticulous on balancing with all the vibration versus FC glitch recent debate (using A2, superX and Naza)... I really hope KDE gets it right on that !

to go fly this thing on a maiden it's fine to use whatever, can even go an inch or two smaller but to film and fly, your gonna want something cf and preferably t-motor. any prop your gonna get will take balancing, the cheaper the prop the more likely it's too far out of spec to balance safely. props are what makes or breaks the whole deal. eats motor bearings, makes unstable footage, puts you in the position of being unsafe unintentionally
