it makes hovering in manual mid stick. That means you've got it propped right, motors are most likely very happy, etc
how fast the motors spin is written ont eh side of them. yours probably says 930kv, that means it does 930 rpm per volt. 3s is 11.1, 4s is 14.8 volt. if your motors spin faster, you need less prop to achieve the mid stick bit. IF you set it up and it hovers at 1/4 stick in manual, when you give it full stick it is most likely over powering the motors, watts are too high and it will burn em up. if you take off and are hovering at 3/4 stick, your not gonna have much left when the volts wear down as in during the flight, the pack slowly looses voltage making less rpm till it only has a down motion and up is gone. this also usually means your not making the motors work to there full potential making not enough watts to carry it
So you notice i added it's all good as long as you dont add anything. When you put a bunch of weight on it you gotta increase the prop size to carry it again at mid stick. hang a gopro and decent size lipo off it and now your in that realm
the actual prop size is an efficiency thing. larger diameter is more efficient but are more succeptable to wind wobble or getting crappy handling in wind. 8" have less problems in wind, 9" is a great mid point, is what i use with 2814 1000kv motors, 4s packs
