lhcp/rhcp antenna

Hey guys,
I'm relatively new to fpv, and i have already some rhcp cloverleaf antennas. I recently bought immersion rc duo rx and a patch antenna to go with it.
When i got these i realized that the patch antenna is this one

https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking...LHCP_Patch_5_8GHz_Antenna_SMA_13dBi_Gain.html

And the cloverleaf are these

https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=35654

I have just realized that the patch is lhcp and the cloverleaf are rhcp, so not matched.

Is there any reason why i cant just unsolder and turn the 'leaves' to the other direction?
Should be ok i think?
Thanks
Tim

nope, you screwed the pooch. you have the equivilent to a square peg and a round hole

instead of altering what you have there, to take on antenna altering is easier to take on antenna making. Follow the threads at f p v l a b s .com from ibcrazy to make one from scratch or order the right one.

Thought so.. but for me its a little problem... i live on an island in thailand and 'things' to make stuff are hard to get, also order from hobbyking takes 3-5 weeks to get here. I'm gonna try and mod this to see if i can get a decent result.... hey i've got nothing to lose right!
Thanks guys

the wires are bent backwards, unbending just breaks em. if nothing else get some wire and make new lobes. i'd just cut that end off and make a normal ib crazy lobe set. theres a signal and ground lead up in there and the solder can't cross poles or it'll not only work like crap but blow up the vtx. You CAN NOT run anything but perfect antennas or it'll burn up from the SWR being too high. pay now or pay later, either way i don't see a good result in your future
