Kloner, your Suppo motors

I ran Suppos for a while. The main problem that I found was that they are very inconsistant. When I checked them out on my test rig. Some had bad vibration problems and the power consumption was not then same from one motor to the next for a given lift value on the same test prop. Out of ten motors I found three good ones.

I never had one that didn't run smooth new. never crashed cause one acted up, but i never ran one that broke a prop. if the tip touched something, it got a new motor and that 2814 swap was less than $20. Great for FPV but i wouldn't use them profesionaly. I just recently threw away 17 of em i went through in the last year. They all flew, woulda been fine on a plane, but jello free haulin butt fpv took perfectly smooth motors.

Now that i've been around a bit, the difference in how a bearing wears in a real motor and how it holds the slop out is the main difference i see in higher end motors. the suppo doesn't have a bolt on adapter = bad and the motors don't have snap rings at the bottom so you gotta deal with one of them big ol collars with set screws right were it mounts.

love the way they sound in this clip,,,,,,, all you hear is a slight buzz from 4 motors and a whole lotta wind

You get some serious speed outa that thing!! I have just been checking out some Range Video stuff as I want some longer range for my motor gliders. You using that stuff? Or have you got some cool recommendations?

I've tried everything readymaderc sells and landed on lawmate 2.4 1000mw video transmitters with securitycam2000 seawolf pixem cameras and i used ImmersionRC EzUHF that knocks my rc signal down to 433 and opens up that 2.4 for video. the newest firmware has made all immersion receivers, ever there little 4ch version into a 12 channel ppm sum. so now theres no reason to look any further. it also has a mapping function that lets you change any channel into any channel that lets spektrum/jr radios work with naza/wookong or other flight controllers that are locked on ch3 throttle.

dis is in feet, right bar is elevation

got the same exact system in 6 rigs here and they all just worked out of the box as advertised. Sanders is always around to hassle when his immersion stuff don't work and he takes care of his mess when it is his fault..... dragonlink, not so much. never tried rangelink stuff

I'd like some of the gps features in the osd such as distance traveled, RTH arrow, speed, height.

Was going to get the ezosd but first it looks complicated wiring it up, second I've read mixed reviews about how good it is.

i use the eagle tree like the zii video above on my rigs.... Barts xy8 has it, works bitchen. i've never liked that ezosd, dunno why, it's just not very configurable. the ET you can have 8 different pages of on screen info... alarms can pull up other data like low voltage, mah, and thing on the screen can have an alarm.

I'm still not totaly clear but i heard ET is making an eagle tree pro osd that is gonna either fly multi rotors soon or it'll link to another module that is a MR flight controller by them but all return to home, way points, etc is coming this spring.

here is an early live feed from xy8, now flying it in manual it runs 52mph at a sustained 130 amp draw

my capture dvr went away a month or two ago, i just picked up a replacement so i'll get some more of them soon.

Got the lawmate combo today. Looks like I got the unlocked version. It's doesnt have any glue on the channel switch. Also has a second heat sink on it...not sure if they do that when its "tuned".

I don't fly (yet) with anyone. Should I keep it on Ch1 or just put it on 5 or 8? Does a particular Ch work better than the others?

Ughh...this freakin lawmate Rx will not turn on. LED light stays off when I try and power it up with a 3.5mm jack and 3s lipo, tried to get video through it and nothing.

Unreal. Guy said it worked before he sent it to me.

if that's a 500mw lawmate, it's 5 volt I've never seen a light on a lawmate transmitter, receiver does.....

show me some pics of what you got going on

didn't realize I could wire this wrong ?

that needs to be checked if for no other reason than to know.... if you have a volt meter it has a continuity test where you hold the things togetehr and it beeps, is the oly way i know to check it. That'd definately smoke it......

if the red light won't come on, it aint gonna work. might make sure your battery is fully charged.

just checked with a voltmeter. The center off the jack is positive. I'm getting 11.73v with the red probe touching the center inside and the black touching the outer portion

The seller now wants me to send both Tx and Rx back to him. I can't even keep the Tx and have him refund me 50% of the money.

Friggin unreal.
