Hi Ben, Hi kloner...Merry Christmas to you guys.....
I see you have the Xoar Carbon blades...would be interesting to hear how they are compared to the DJI carbon blades from the S800 (wich are too soft and flimsy and cause a lot of vibratins)

This is the one from the contest. I finally got it built and flying - I'm so pumped. I haven't pushed it really hard yet, but I'd wager it's pretty quick. I need to put some lights on it soon. After several test flights it will be time for the gimbal and camera.
The Xoar carbon props appear to be very smooth. Hovering in front of me it looks good. Once we get a camera on-board, that will tell us more. I think the boom nacelles do the job because it descends well.

Droidworx knows sexy! Thats what you get when you can make custom molded parts. Very nice design. and yes those blades are just visual icing on the cake. Congrats Ben, although that should have been mine! Kidding

I'm curious about how the props compare to the wooden Xoars. I only have the carbon for the XM (part of the package). The Xoar carbon props certainly do the job well and look good too.

What ESC's are you using? I just upgraded from 30A to 40A to take the load off a bit with Xoar 12x5's. I'm not totally happy with my Tiger Motors, I may still upgrade to Droidworx edition AXI motors. Vibration testing showed me where these XM's come into their own, really well set up.

If I do any motor upgrades it will be a major 6s overhaul. I want to know that these pancakes have a decently priced esc that works well with hoverfly that has the appropriate timing. from what I understand pancakes need a higher timing than is available on most esc's.

Did you get any extras? If you want to send me one I'll put it on my test stand to see how it does compared to the wood ones. Are they 12"

I've got 30 amp Plush on it right now. I may eventually try some Castles on it, but for now I'm happy with the Plushes. We likely won't lift anything much heavier than a GH2 with it. The Axi motors are quality.

They are 13 inch. If I had extras I'd send you one. When I order a spare pair I'll send you one to test.
