I need a new radio, I think (?).

I purchased a used F450 a while back and it came with a T8J. However, I want to get this Disco Pro off the ground and I hope to get an S800 or S1000, so my understanding is that I need more channels. What should I get and should it be Futaba since I already have two or three of those receivers?

EDIT: Actually, it looks like the Disco Pro only requires six channels and I have 8 with the T8J?

Your Futaba T8J is a 8 channel radio.........you should be fine.

As long as you have two three way switches you will be good. You can mix but it is a bad way to go.

You still only 4 channels if you have an octocopter a hexcopter or a quadcopter as the amount of motors doesn't affect the channels

I fly all my stuff on 8j and only the last couple months 8fg, only to fly a2,,, all my other big rigs run 8j, usually with ezuhf
