Guys can you make something clear for me??

When you say gain you mean the gain in setup client or gain on TX???

Because as HF say i must have the same gain on MANUAL mode and on AL . what this exactly mean?? Same GAin on TX or on setup utility???

same gain on TX. The gain in the setup client will be different for different transmitters. What matters is that you go fly on manual gyro only mode. Adjust your gain as it shows in the manual. Once you find a value on the TX that you are comfortable with then set the AL gain to the same value on the TX.

I thought we set it to fly in manual mode, then while plugged into the assistant we adjusted the AL value to be the same on the assistant, regardless what the value was on the TX. So if my value is 40 for manual on the tx, make the AL value 40 on the tx for AL mode as well. But it makes no difference what the numbers are on the assistant right?

BTW the manual doesnt say anything anywhere (that I am aware of) to adjust gains in the setup client. Can someone point me to the "un clear part"

I thought the point of the gain value in the setup client was so you can adjust your RX subtrim to make your EPA values to match on both sides of a given switch. Seems worthwhile to me.

Please keep the gain values in the setup client!!!! When I set my gains on my tx (JR9303) to read the same plus and minus (MAN & AL) the setup client showed they were not matched. There was a 5% difference and when I changed the tx settings to make the gains on the setup client match it did away with a little "jog" each time I switched between AL and MAN. A very useful tool.

I think what happened, at least with me, was I called to ask about this and you guys verbally told us to do it in the assistant. So the mixed messages were what made it awkward. Then the +/- debate on which one was actually correct was confusing as well. It's one of those things where once you get it it's easy but for the first time it is confusing.

May I make another "ease of use" suggestion? I am color blind. And I also think it makes the wiring more difficult with the controller to motors using color rather than numbers. With numbers I can label the motor wires and if the inputs on the board were to make chronological sense, it would simplify that as well. Just a thought.

I'm sorry you don't get it. All I know is that I made the gain numbers in the transmitter the same (JR9303 + & - values which are MAN and AL respectively) my Y6 would always have a little "bump".......that is......it would very momentarily pitch up or down whenever I flipped from MAN to AL. No big deal but it did put a bit of a jog in my video. When I put the board back on the setup client for another look I was surprised to see a difference of 5% on the gain in the setup client between MAN and AL where the numbers should have been the same. I changed the transmitter numbers to get the gains in the setup client to match and voila....no more bump. Clear enough?? Maybe my tx settings and/or calibrations are out of whack but the setup client allowed me to fix a bit of an annoyance. Now my tx shows a difference of 4% between the + & - values. To do away with the gain readout in the setup client would be taking away a very valuable tool IMHO.

It always made me nervous. But since .802 it doesnt do it at all. it flies so well whether I switch modes mid flight or start off in AL. It's pretty amazing what they've done. And to add it doesnt go crazy in the wind when in AL.

Exactly!! That is why the gain readout in the setup client is so important. I'm not so sure it is the .802 firmware that does not give the bump anymore. I think that if you had mismatched gains for MAN and AL in the setup client you would still have a bump. I'm too chicken to try it on purpose!

AL Gain = Main Gain

If you want to make them the same value on the TX thats fine. If you want to make them the same value on Setup thats fine too. They should be only a few percent different and this is not going to matter that much.

I think if you word it just as you have it in that quoted sentence, it will be easier for most than what's currently there. I'm gonna sell all my DJI stuff and buy all Hoverfly pro's. I'm totally sold. Can you guys make me a single rotor heli auto le vel that works as well? now that we got this FS700, I am wondering what the safest way to lift it is.
