Has anyone heard that Xaircraft is coming out with a Hex Frame 2 Version. Just wondering the cost of the frame without any motors, etc.

Just saw these for sale over at CNCHelicopter...they look nice...I won't lie about that. Makes me wish I would've waited on my V8! Jeff at CNC is GREAT by the way...always super quick to respond via email and very fast shipping! Here are some links:

XAircraft Hexa Frame Carbon Fiber Combo (with AKE motors, esc's, and camera mount)...looks like a DJI WKM based kit: $669.99

I did see these on the CNCHelicopter site. I'm undecided yet as I was hoping it had a larger foot print. According to Jeff it is about the same size as the X650 Quad that I have.

I dunno about the esc but the Naza does support flat hexa. There's a much cheaper flight controller system due to release by XA, though.

heres a thought

buy a couple of dji f450 frames

make your own center hub

then you could have a hex or even an octo

just an idea

What would you guys think a good motor for the XA Hexa frame? Id like to outfit one to carry a Sony Nex5. Does that sound reasonable?

I suggest that you buy the hexa frame and then get your motors and ESC separately. Those ESC's are only 12A and with any motor such as the Avroto 2814 and Tiger MT2814 you are going to need a 30A ESC.
