I have an issue with my HDMI converter which i bought from goodluckbuy
I have to use it with my NEX-5R...
http://www.goodluckbuy.com/hdmi-to-av-convert-board-for-sony-nex-5n-w-15cm-cable.html

1.When i connect my Canon 500D i get blue screen, then after 1 second it turns ON and i can see the live feed from the camera.

2.Sony NEX-5R works perfectly when i connect it to my TV with HDMI cable, i can see feed from my camera,

-When i connect NEX to converter i get blue screen... thats it. ... !!!

-I have tryed with 5V extra power from my reciever, makes no difference.

Can it be, because converter is for NEX-5N ... and i have 5R ???

I am lost... no idea what to do

i don't have that converter, but the general rule is these things don't do 1080p and prefer 1080i or less input.... default is auto and that can go either way. none the less it's the only thing on the cam you can change relevant. that hdmi ctrl setting to.

Hey Guys,

I know this is not the original question but I'm not sure where to ask.
I am going to put the NEX-5 on a Brushless-Gimbal (BL-G) and I've noticed that many of the pics show the NEX with the Pancake Lens. Is there an advantage to this lens other than being easier to balance on a BL-G? Can I still balance a the BL-G with the 18-55 lens on the camera or should I be using the Pancake Lens. Obviously the Sony didn't make this lens for multi rotor users, so what is the advantage? What's up with that tiny little lens? Look like the size of the lens on the GoPro.

Anyways, can someone help me with advice on witch lens to get for the NEX on a BL-G?
Hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question.

1. I had same problem as you, and i went for 16mm lense, because it is lighter and it should make more vivid videos bcz. of its bigger "lense Hole"

2.IT IS NOT OK TO DO THAT YOU DID!!!!!!! You don't kindnap a thread with another question, which is completly unrelated !!! Especially when there is only one answer !!!
If you have question MAKE A THREAD !

Best Regards

Sorry, I didn't mean to cause trouble. I noticed people were talking about the NEX. So thought that someone may have gone through a similar issue.
Very sorry.

i did, hdmi res should be 1080i and ctrl for hdmi off

i've got 3 of the cams, 2 of the converters i linked and a freefly converter. Fly em alot, all work killer. most peoples problems is incompatible converters. Think there output isn't compatible with the fpv video transmitters

Speaking of Transmitters,
I'm using a 400mW, 1.3Ghz VTx same as the ones from Ready Made RC. Should this be ok to work with the Etekcity HDMI to AV Composite RCA? Or should I use a different VTx?
