Literally a GoPro on steroids, from what I can find it is the innards of a GoPro3 in a case that accepts c-mount lenses, available by rental only for 300/day for the regular, 900/day for the 2K. Makes me want to look further into my own lens adapter.
Unfortunately the Gopro-3 does not readily accept a different lens but you can do quite a lot with software to correct the lens distortion. I hope GoPro release a changeable lens system sooner rather than later because they will come under fire from other makes in the not too distant future.
Beware of stabilised lenses that have long zoom ratios, The level of vibration resistance is very critical with some that I have tested recently, The TZ40 for example is so sensitive that hanging the camera from 4 thin elastic bands 3 inches long below the copter it can still see the high frequency's. The jellow makes for an image that looks like the starship enterprise going thro. the asteroid belt at warp factor 10. As always the answer to vibration problems is to kill it at source. :tennis:
