Personaly I would bypass the FC, But you probably have acres more experience and knowledge than me with RC shenanigans.

you ever seen the gyros on mr boards, same gyro sitting different orientations.

not unless i change to a different gimble. not looking to make professional film, just get rid of the fisheye affect on the horizon by not moving the camera up and down across it so much and to help minimize me pulling back a tad when i start sketchin out that i'm getting to low, fast, etc. Light, simple are my main requirements, if i can throw more money at it to make it a little better, so be it, if it sucks i'll sell it for half what i paid and call it a lesson. either way i've got one disco with this and one without it so i'm covered from ruining a weekend on this thing

guess since i've got the endpoints and crap covered through a spartan programmer i can go around the fc.

i've never messed with a gimble, don't understand if the endpoint control is good or bad through it, etc

before i hook it all up and make smoke let me run this by you.

if i turn the gain to zero but leave the gimble part enabled in naza to get an up and down view on a switch, can i stack the gyro after that then out of the gyro into the servo? see any problems on my horizon???? or- Should i hook the gyro straight to a independent channel on my rx and assign a switch to it?

Just checked the Spartan Manual....you should have three cables coming out of the spartan: 1) Connector to your servo 2) Plug to Tail Rotor Channel on your Receiver 3) Plug to the Gyro/Gain channel on yor receiver. 2)Tail rotor Channel can be assigned to a turning knob (just as an example) to move your gimbal and 3)would compensate....but I am not sure if a tail gyro is compensating tilt on your gimbal.

IF this works, forget the NAZA port....

well, the 254 was a pile of junk on the naza. i'm gonna order some ends to make the gyro run on this and see how it does. it wiggled just like the jr servo did at center, shook

put the hitec back in and i think the gain is pretty close now. because my quad tilts forward alot and rarely get's leaning back, i adjusted the throw so it only looks down 30 degrees, thinking that way if it does get to leaning back 45 degrees that it'll look like it and i shortened the servos travel giving it more resolution. Think it worked. The other thing that i did was put a lip across the bottom of the camera tray for the camera to sit on. Two things happened, was able to take all three rubber bands off and use one soft one, and was able to go back to tiny short button looking ear plugs and only 7 total. 3 across the bottom, 4 behind it. when the servo moves, it looks and feels smooth as hell, but 3 inches out in front of it the speed of moving and stopping made the camera jiggle every move. This was shot with one rubber band, next i'll try 2 and see if it finishes off the occasional jiggle. This, the zeph and the multifun are heading to the desert tomorrow to go give one last trial before the long holiday weekend. once i go to the river, the parts ordering, major overhauling is over. 200 miles away and no postal service, you run what you brung, and i want to bring it as good as possible. My second disco is probably going to make the trip as well, everything is ordered, it's a night away from flying once it's here.

Sorry to hear that the Futaba did not work out....If you like I buy it from you. I really thought it could solve the trouble.

Well that didn't take much. had to extend the platform it was sitting on to stabilize it and to get the pressure of the rubber band off it's face and look what comes out of it. Ordered some male/female servo wire plugs to make that gyro work. i got the males, but not them weird female ends. I can live with this now, it's the side to side oscillations driving me crazy now. Wonder if cg moving up started all this?

2 weeks ago before the gimble it flew like a champ.
