Hi totally new to setting up DX8, I want to slow down the response of my controls if I twist (Sorry what ever it's called) to left or right and do this too quickly it dives down. I'm sure someone advised me at some point but can find it..

If anyone could give newbie guide that would be great.

for the hot motor look at the prop and it's balance. if it has crashed, look at a bent motor, just replace it if keeps happening, not too expensive

for the slowing it down part, look at dual rates and expo in your manual. spektrum you would add + expo to slow it down. for even more, decrease the rates in d/r and assign them to one switch if ya can like flight mode switch so all three change simultaneously. in heli talk, it's the idle up switch.

Thanks for the information. I knew I could tame it down but all new to me so not sure what the correct process was. I've taken off my std 10" props and put in the std 8". Changed the settings on the rudder exp to 70 which still turns quick but smoother and tilting has dropped off seems to be cured. Check motors after, be it a quite flight but all slightly warm... Will wait for the weather to clear and see how it goes.

I need to confidence in this setup hence not adding camera or anything until I'm 100% sure the unit is spot on then the only problems are me.

I haven't crashed to unit, but checked Visually on the motors not bent. The one that was getting warm appears to be ok no of balance when turning...

Thanks again

She's flying so much better just put 3s 5000 on it and and it was so stable with 8" props. I'm still not happy with yaw when turning fast with course lock on.. Might be getting confused. Need to calm down a little more. Don't won't this unit for tricks want to have a safe controlled unit for Video and FPV...

Read through manual rtfm lol. "continuous spinning will cause yaw error..." white light will indicate, hex was too low for checking light which I'm going to move but was turning two to three times. Quickly hence could be the problem.. Newbie I guess....
