RTRyder, how long before you have the new FC up and going? I think this is the FC that I want to go with but an unbiased opinion would help to make me more comfortable with the choice.

I ordered one last week to try and should fingers crossed be here for monday/tuesday , although it does not have all the bells and whistles of Mikrokopter the Auto land and failsafe features will appeal to a lot of high end camera users with expensive gear onboard .
If all goes well , I have promised Terry from DJI a large order and we will be glad to be stocking these :)

I just received shipping notification that it's going out today, as to when it actually flys depends a lot on what happens when hurricane Irene hits here this weekend and when the USPS is able to deliver it.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Hi Robert and welcome to the site. I emailed Terry and asked for a coupon code that our site members could use in order to take advantage of the discount currently being offered. Could you maybe post one? There's been a lot of interest expressed and some confusion as well regarding the ordering process.
Thanks!
Bart

Yeah, the ordering process was a bit hard for me too. For instance, I ordered without the coupon code which Robert gave me actually :( So I sent an email to Robert to figure it out.

Look for the coupon code area carefully for those who are about to order! :)

Here is the setup that I'm going to use for DJI W-M:

Custom frame, Y6 setup
Motors: RC Timer B3536-11 750 KV Motors
Props: APC 13x6.5 Thin Electric
Turnigy Plush 40A ESC
Zippy FlightMax 5000 mAh batteries

I've the same doubt as Boriss about compatible Tx system. I think I'm going to use Spektrum DX8 first. If it flies better tha MK electronics, I'm going to buy Futaba T8FG (12 channels with software upgrade)

You can order at DJIUSA.com

We have a $200 coupon right now because of the pre-order. After Tuesday we will get rid of the need for the coupon code and you can order at the discount rate of $1199.00

Our full order should be here by Monday.

Then we will order another 50.

Sorry for any confusion.

Great to see Robert on here.. hope to be placing an order soon.. waiting to get back from vacation and see what Ken thinks. Nice to see DJI is here to give support.

Hey Ken is your order coming from over seas or from here? Hope Irene is not going to slow up your delivery date!

Hey guys,
I've been selling RTF copters here in France for a while and I am so happy having the opportunity for selling DJI WKM !!!
I am tired of MK :( I need reliable aircrafts, no the ones that flip when they want !!!
Cheers

Reading more of the thread looks like its going to be a battle for the first to fly contest between Geoff ( Quadcopters) and Ken (RTryder).. My money is on Geoff getting it up first as he has not got a real job.. he just plays with MR"S all day long! ;-)

The videos posted here rised up my expectations but I remember I had the same expectations before buying MK electronics. Especially videos from quadrocopter.us showed us that flying these birds is super easy. But, MK electronics is about the software trimming. I don't even mention about hours spent for soldering needed.

What I liked about DJI W-M is the compact design and no solder work. I always check the solders couple of times before MK flights, which will make me sick of the idea of "what will happen a solder comes loose??".

I am impressed by the videos, I needed an extra flight controller and I choosed DJI W-M because the price was not higher than MK kit.

We'll see how it will perform :) Hopefully equal or better than MK :)
